You know I always read. Man, that was just amazing. Even if it was just your thoughts - it brought tears to my eyes. You always seem to find ways to say/write the things I want to hear/read or the things I wish I myself could say/write. And you do this all without even trying. You are real. You've never put on a mask to try to be something you are not, as many of us have - myself included. I've never met anyone quite like you. I still remember freshmen year, Gatewood's class. I developed a sort of crush on you that it seemed like so many other girls had - just because of the fact that you had (and still have) such an amazing sense of self. Dang crush went on for quite some time until I realized that I was content with just being a very good friend of yours. Over the last four years, I have come to know a man who has affected me on so many levels. I can't even begin to express how much I am going to miss seeing you around the halls - and even having classes with you, though we did not have any together this year. I guess I just wanted ( ... )

Two things:

The path of an honorable man is not an easy one. It shouldn't be because everyone would do it otherwise, but it is worth it.

Understand that wisdom isn't blind faith or blind optimism, it is looking at what has happened before and what lies ahead and seeing both for what they are: the flaws, the highs, the lows, the lessons, etc. and learning from all of it. You are doing that. You realize what people mean to you and are expressing it. You realize and appreciate the lessons you have been taught and are going forward not with the blind optimism of a child (Yay!! Summer's going to be awesome LOL!! ROTFL!!! KIT!!! BFF!!!!!) but with the faith and gravitas of a man. Good job.

Love you, proud of you, stay safe.

wisdom is also knowing when to stop worrying so much, and be a child.

and i disagree with betsy....i dont think some of the things in your life have made you stronger at all....in fact, i think they've made you weaker and more vulnerable, and the whole idea of the events doesn't help, but rather keeps you looking over your shoulder and second guessing. perhaps, yes, some have made you stronger and shaped who you are today, but there are those few incidents i can't agree have helped you be genuine.
