Silver was able to go home Monday afternoon, they removed his appendix late Sunday night.
He seems to be doing well since, everything appears to be in working order, and he is still in enough pain to be complaining about it. So I take that as a good sign.

Thank you to all that have expressed their well wishes. It means a lot to us.

Yeah, I doubt they bothered to install a replacement. Not even an aftermarket part, since the OEM part can't be had.

Well glad he's ok. At least this one is can't happen again. Hope he recovers quickly.

In all the years of doing many many stupid things I've only hit like 11 out of 10 on the pain scale twice. Once was when Marrok slipped a prybar with his full weight across my fingers while we were pulling a spring out of a car (amazing I didn't break my fingers) and the other was post op from the appendix.

My couch was old. Poor sagging thing that it was, you'd sink right in when laying on it. First week back at home I crashed on that thing all week. The problem was I couldn't sit up, so I kind of got stuck. Well in a moment of brilliance I decided I could get out by flinging my leg over myself to get rolling up and out of the seat. I hit the floor and everything flickered black from the pain. That's the only time I've come close to passing out from sheer pain. So don't let him do that. ;)
