so pledging APO has been taking up a huge chunk of my time, as well as my 21 credits, which now seem like cake with pledging coming to an end. no really....it seems so easy. i'm glad i did it though, despite all the craziness i went through. that includes several near-breakdowns, mad panics, and overall desire to depledge. it's kinda sad how many have depledged from our pledge class, including my twin who was diagnosed with cancer. i hope he makes it through chemo and everything and can pledge next spring like he said he wanted to. lots of prayers there. he looks healthy as an ox to begin with anyway (he's in the Corps). not sure if i mentioned this before, but he wants to work on submarines eventually. yay T-Mo-like people! my bigs are probably the most interesting combination of two guys. one is a short but heavily built asian guy who's really into rugby and will soon and hopefully go to Columbia's pre-med/before-med (?) program. the other is a CpE/French major who's a lil weird but kinda a lot like me, plus we can kinda speak to each other in french.
got the results of my echo-cardiogram a couple weeks ago. my mom's been freaking out...kinda...ever since. so apparently, that rare chance of having a leaky mitral valve that goes along with some cases mitral valve proplapse: i've got it. the doctor says it's "not serious," so i'm gonna treat it that way. some websites say...well they say other things but let them say that shtuff. as far as i'm concerned, i can still show up for kung fu twice a week, every week, do those warm-ups, go through forms, and then occasionally run laps and whatnot at the gym. still need to work on that swimming. hopefully NASA doesn't have a problem with this, but meh i'll deal with that when the time comes.
recently been thinking more and more about double majoring with mechanical engineering, while keeping everything else. it's possible...kinda. also depends on if i can do undergrad research here of the summer. then i'll just take some classes that are required while i'm here. they also said that the two assistant directors of aero and mech would have to nagotiate my schedule. i think that's kinda funny. hopefully i'll be able to do it. otherwise, that would kinda suck. so i might be here for the summer, which i don't necessarily like. i get a lil shafted on the number of breaks i have, which is kinda few. the time between sessions blows as well, which is on july 4 weekend. basically i'd get a three-day weekend and then have to get myself back here by the 5th. le suck. maybe i shouldn't do that crazy stuff and just do research for one session. plus the prof is supposedly rather lax about where the research is done (it's all computational cuz it's ion propulsion and we don't have one of those to play around with).
well that's all i can write at the moment. more to come...probably later.
