It's a sad fact that once a painter starts building up a decent amount of skill but "aren't quite there yet" (whatever the fuck that means), they start to get a little big headed and think that thier experience makes them superior to anyone of a lesser skill level. Hell, even I went through a brief phase of this. Fortunately, I'm pretty good at noticing asshat behaviour in my self and nipped that in the bud right quick.

Pay no heed to anything but your own muse. Getting hung up on "doing things right" leads to your work looking like pale imitations of the pros. It's what's been frustrating me for a long time now. I think I'm over it, though.

The difference between Lump v.1.0 and 2.0 is dramatic. And I adore how clean your painting has become. Keep workin at it Spiker, before you know it, your "painting for personal enjoyment" will look like "painting like a pro".

I've been too wiped out on medications to post a coherent statement (umm nothing's changed so if this makes no sense please ignore me!) I see a tremendous improvement in brush control in Lumpy 2.0 Spike. I also didn't realize his bracer was metalics until you said something. You are making progress AND you actually do something with your minis (gaming and the comic) so I'm glad you aren't listening to What's-His-Name.

Spike- I've been following the drama on the forum and it sickens me that someone would be such a poopoo-head. Hope you don't mind me commenting, I saw you on Rigger's friends list. I think your orc looks really good- please don't put your brushes down!
