Today was an odd today. I was in a bad mood for a large part of it due to a very embarrassing mistake in Japanese due to not paying attention. Ah well I only let it bother me for a little while. But then my attempted joke on my hw got shot down, so that didn't help that much. Its hard for me to keep my confidence with Japanese up, but I hope I can

I noticed that your mood had soured after JP class. I think an embarrasing moment or two is obligatory when studying language, especially in discussion situations. At least nobody saw you naked, or even worse, you naked while riding a tricycle.　よく聞いたほうがいいよ is all. If I phase out for even a few seconds, I return to my consciousness to realize that I've lost a firm grasp on what the heck is going on.

It's a brand new semester. Nothing has been decided yet. So keep that confidence up! (^0^)/

The thing to remember is: don't try and be funny unless you are fluent. I think the senseis just think you are making a mistake.

Don't get so upset after you make a minor mistake. It will stifle your love of the nihongo!
