Am I the ONLY person on the face of this planet that isn't madly in love with Harry Potter?? Seriously. I just do NOT get the appeal. All my friends online are fans on some level/degree of insanity, my sister and her hubby are into it, my uptight aunt is all yaysters about it, hell, I couldn't even sit at a restaurant yesterday without taking ( Read more... )

LOL... OMG, I've become predictable! Yeah, but being busy is no longer a valid excuse for me--everyone here is busy. I'll have to come up with a new lame cop-out for why I'm not more consistent with my updates. Right now I'll just stick with my old classic: I suck :)

Hiya, sweetie!!

Same here.. not Harry Potter obsessed! Not that I'm against it... I probably would like it more if I gave it more of a chance. I read half of the first book and while it was good, it didn't SUCK me in, you know? And I liked the movies too but I don't feel the need to own them.

I'm thinking of giving it another chance later when I get time to read but... right now.. meh!

Hey you!! I feel like it's been forever in way too long since I've talked to you!! Where ya been hiding? How's hubby? Munchkins?

Can't thank you enough for popping in to extend this bit of "you're not alone, s'okay-type support." I was really having an eyeball-scratching day and I needed to know I wasn't the only one who wasn't reading HP.

LOL... meh is right. Funny thing is that I think very highly of J.K. Rowling and find her extremely delightful, intelligent and articulate--much more so than I find a LOT of other people. I'm just not into her books. So is that a weird kind of compliment (given that I'm not blinded by fandom) or an unintentional slap in her face? Neither?

Let me know if/when you decide to give the series another go, 'kay? I'd love to know if you end up being hooked after all ;)
