Thanks, Caroline. I was pretty full of emotion today and hoped I would be able to express it in a manner befitting such a rare and magnificent lady. I'm so glad you appreciated it.
I've been shamefully absent from LJ this month, but I simply could not let this anniversary pass without sharing my thoughts.
Thank you for commenting, hon. It's always good to know others feel the same as you. I can't believe it's been ten years--I can remember everything like it was yesterday. And I get so choked up when I see what phenomenal men her sons have grown up to be. Her loss still hurts, but she left a priceless legacy.
She was such an example of what a princess should be--kind, compassionate, warm, a classy lady, not too pious to mingle with the very people who admired and adored her. And of course to be so luminously beautiful and NOT act like she was the most important person in the room...
She made me want to be a princess, because she recreated what it meant to be one.
Thanks so much for commenting and sharing your thoughts with me. *hugs* I hoped this entry would speak to at least one other person, and I'm so appreciative to have heard from three.

I admired Diana as well , and was very saddened by her tragic death.
