Bangkok Butterfly Part 8

This is the final chapter of Bangkok Butterfly. I want to thank all my readers for keeping me company on my first journey back into multi-part stories after my meltdown. It's been a good experience to get back on the horse that threw me. Thank you all so much. And a special thank you to blondebitz for the terrific manip she made to go along with BB. Thank you, honey. I'm sure you know the intense relief of having a story come to it's conclusion. This was only suppose to be a few chapters long and it got away from me. :D

The legend of the Naga exists in Thailand. The fireballs are documented and every year there are celebrations along the Mekong. So who know? Maybe there something amazing living there and going after those who aren't true of heart.

I enjoyed every chapter of this, particularly the lyric quality of the descriptions and, of course, the sex. Well done for climbing back on the horse with this story. It was well worth the effort. ♥

Thank you so much, sweetheart. It was very scary and I was close to panicking more than once, and running away. But I feel great now it's over.

Your support has meant so much. Here's me giving you a great big hug. I'm very glad you enjoyed it!

Spike's encounter with the Naga was spectacular. It was frightening and uplifting and I love the sense of self Spike takes away from the meeting. The celebratory lovemaking was erotic, and Angel finally opening his eyes to the real Spike was believable and very moving. Nobody needs saving in this relationship, they just need each other. You've left me with a sense that everything is going to turn out okay.

I loved this exchange: “Met my worst fears tonight, pet. Death. Being separated from you. After that, it’s a bloody cakewalk.”

Silence filled the gap between them until Angel spoke again. “I always thought you were too pretty to be strong. You know? Pretty being girly?” At Spike’s lowered brow, Angel rushed on. “Shit, Spike. Dresses. Lipstick. What the hell would you think?”

“That here’s a bloke confident in his masculinity?” There's great weight in Spike's declaration, and you lighten the mood beautifully with his last clever line ( ... )

Yay! It means a lot that you thought the Naga was believeable. I wanted that very much, and for the boys to end on a note of equality between them.

I thought they needed a celebratory love-making after all their brushes with death. And the possibility of future darkness.

I'm glad you got to catch up on the missed chapters. Thank you so much for commenting. I cherish every one.

Great ending. They made it across together, with just a bit of magick, maybe, to help them along. :)

I'm so pleased you liked it. I wasn't sure if I'd over-stepped the shark line or not, but it felt right to me so I went with it.

Your comment about "a bit of magic" has me thinking of that song from My Fair Lady, A Little Bit of Luck. Now I'll have that stuck in my head for days. :D It's okay. I love that musical!

Thank you so much for reading through to the finish!

Don't you hate it when that happens. :)
If you can't get a song out of your head, do math. It does work. :)
