It's the strangest thing. I almost didn't post the chapter. I was very unsure of it. Feeling pretty low. Then when I did, blondebitz had made me a lovely banner and icon that just blew me away.

Now your lovely comment, and I'm all energized again. Thank you, love. You're very good to me and I'm so glad I cheered you up a little bit. You cheered me up, too!

I enjoyed finding out about Spike's past. No wonder he has trust issues. His head might tell him to hold back, but I don't think his heart will let him.
And poor Angel, trying to do the right thing by leaving Spike, but they need each other.
Looking forward to the next installment.

I thought it was about time to reveal how Spike became a whore. Poor little guy was left all on his own, with nowhere to go. It's made him very cynical, especially about anyone who shows a real interest in him. Angel has some barriers to break down. But then so does Spike. Angel's sense of duty stands between them.

I'm very excited to write more. My muse is bouncing all over the place every time she looks at that pretty banner. There will be more of Angel's POV from now on. He definitely needs his Spikey because the bad guys are coming.
