What!! Is this normal, where she lives, or is this some exotic pet of a neighbour? I have so many questions lol lol I would be SO thrilled to see this gorgeous fancy boy in person!! ^-^
Does she have tall windows? I fear that rather than succumbing to your friend's charms, he is either admiring his own plumage, or offering battle to a rival.
I once worked in a building which looked out at gardens which had peacocks (they've gone now, sadly). The males used to do this in spring standing on a wall in front of our windows. The females used to lay eggs on the wall with predictably poor, Humpty Dumpty-like, results.
Nope. He doesn't have the least interest in her windows, especially when he is strutting his stuff out front. For some reason, this one really likes her.
They are noisy, messy and aggressive with the local cars. I suspect the HOA would like to be rid of them, but every attempt to relocate them has failed. Who knew they had homing instincts.
They can be pretty obtrusive, not least with the loud shrieks they make. The ones in York used to take rides on buses - usually on the roof rather than inside. I think they suffered from people trying to pull their tail feathers out, which can kill them because they're attached to blood vessels, and is probably why they were removed to safety.

Someone brought in a pair a few years ago and now there is about a dozen of them. they are particularly fond of nesting in her big pine tree out back.

Amen to that. They make so much noise, especially at dusk.
