When I read the title I thought you were going to talk about Angel's issues with his father, which I've been thinking about since a scene in the comics (10x18 if memory serves well) and I believe is very important to understand Angel as a character. I never thought of this reverse father issue... and I still don't :D
I can't agree with you. Well, on several things really, some of which I think we already debated on? the spangel shagging, the following Angel's path... but those are minor points.

In regards of the topic, the only pattern I see is Angel's corruption of others. He took 'good' 'innocent' people and made them do bad things. Or outright turned them in monsters. All those you mentioned apply, except for Doyle (but that's maybe only because Angel didn't have the time?) and with the addition of Drusilla, Buffy, Lorne... and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone!

btw, I've seen that you are not a member of the new LJ Buffy forum. Why don't you join us?? You are one of the few I miss from the BB and it would be nice to have you there. Sure at the moment there isn't much activity, I'm the one who's posting the most lol but we are currently starting a rewatch and I'm positive that it's just a matter of time. Also I've lurked on the BB (I do that once in a while to see if I'm missing something out XD) and... seriously? Breasts? Weather? The most attractive? Come on, what's a wise (albeit misguided ahah) girl like you still doing there??

I like your idea of that "one time" having taken place in S5 and not before Angel had a soul.

I never really noticed (or rather, thought about the fact) that all of Angel's "boys" have or had blue eyes. Hmm, interesting!

I think they shagged like bunnies back in the day, but they needed to have the souls to actually touch each other in more ways than the physical.
