Bobby Brown was R-O-B-B-E-D

Yes, I'm weird. I got hooked on "Gone Country" where seven singers (okay, six singers and one female actor) who had little to no country music experience got introduced to television's version of "real" country life and music. John Rich (of Big and Rich, a country duet) was the star and would pick the winner and then produce a single for said ( Read more... )

I would agree. The man has always had talent, but over the years his extensive drug use took away from those qualities. I remember singing his songs as a little kid and doing a mimic of his dance moves.

Him performing that song was a reminder of why I loved him so much as a little girl. Thanks for sharing that with us sweets!! I enjoyed it and I enjoyed him. I really can't picture Julio with that thick accent singing country....

Oi.

Julio is cute and Julio can sing but Julio can't sing country for beans and I don't give a fig what John Rich says!

Bobby B. was AMAZING. I never liked him and then got hooked on this show (I am SO not a country music fan for the most part) and changed my mind somewhat. Honey, did he not rock the CRAP outta that song? *whew* I'm tellin' ya, he went down on his knees and I started to cry.

You know, I've always liked Bobby. I can remember dancing around to 'My Prerogative' and thinking that he had it going on. I really think getting mixed up with Whitney Houston and her dramatic ass messed him up all over the place. Living in Atlanta (where Whitney lives(d)) we got a lot of local news about Ms. Batshit Crazy and just watching her on Being Bobby Brown was enough to convince me that she caused his crazy. She is a shit mother, was a shit wife, and berated him every time he walked into the room.

So, I think that this song and his strength are amazing all things considered. I hope he puts his own problems behind him and gets on with his life because with Ms. BatShit Crazy gone ... he just might have a shot in hell of making a comeback/change in his daughter's life.

*grin* I thought they were BOTH nuts! Still, I watched "Gone Country" and changed some of my perceptions about Bobby B. (Watching "Being Bobby Brown" just embedded my previous perceptions deeper! Dude, he and Whitney were both unstrung then!)

He was just AMAZING with the song "The Man I'm Gonna Be" on "Gone Country." *hmmmmmm* I wonder if it's on iTunes.

P.S. I am over 3/4 finished with the cross-stitch I'm doing for you.
