William The Bloody Rat!
It's been almost 9 months since my beloved SpikeyRat passed away. Today I was passing my local pet shop and saw the most adorable little grey rat. He ran straight up to the glass when I knelt down to look in. I went in and asked the shop assistant if it was a male. She said she didn't have time to check because she was bathing two dogs. As she knows me quite well she handed me the keys to the rat enclosure and told me to take him out and have a look. I opened the cage and he ran straight up to me! I knew it was a sign so I bought him on the spot.
He is adorable. Still quite tiny but very friendly. He is taking after Spikey already - he has a healthy appetite! I have had him out for cuddles and have been duly christened (piddled and poohed on!) which actually is something Spikey never did.
I am so happy to have another furry friend. I've missed the company. So without further ado let me introduce you to William
