Dad was moved by ambulance on Friday from Victor Harbor Hospital to a rehabilitation hospital here in Adelaide. Mum travelled down by bus and I picked her up from the bus station and we went straight to the hospital to see Dad. He was fragile and teary the first couple of days but has come on in leaps and bounds ever since. He is having physio ( Read more... )

Oh, that's fantastic being able to have your dad so close :D Sounds like he is doing really well, and it must be a relief for your mum to be able to come back to your place every night. Good old D, cooking and chauffering :-*

It is great having Dad so near, it means I can visit him every day. Mum is far more relaxed here. I think it just makes a difference having someone in the house with her.

D has really surprised me! I thought he might find having Mum here a little wearing but he told me last night that he reckons Mum's easier to cope with than his Mum!

Lol! Your Willow girl is sounding very much like my cat (I know; still sounds weird). I swear, Blaze goes through the exact good/evil switch. Lol!

Lol, yeah. He can be perfectly sweet and calm one minute, and then he's scramblin' all over the place, and damned if I know what set it off! *laughs*

Your dad sounds like he's doing terrifically well Toy, and great for you that he's close by . The boss sounds like a total sweetheart , as does Willow *hugs*

Dad is doing really well, he's a determined old bugger!

Charlie my boss is an absolute honey. I count my blessings that I landed this job. He and his family are not only my employers but my friends too.
