Hello. Nice to see you posting. Yes, it's nice to get some kind of endorsement from Joss, even rather late in the day. :)

When he spoke about the wedding I immediately thought about your "Wedding from Hell" :)

The way I take this, he's saying that Buffy/Riley are the best if it were real life. Buffy/Angel would be boring after they got together because it's either tragic or happy/sappy, and Spike/BUffy would be most entertaining in a writer perspective.

Frankly, I'm amazed he got off his fence. Maybe it's because he was speaking to George Lucas' daughter and he let himself relax and speak freely. Maybe it's because current season is Spuffy-heavy.

When he mentioned a Spuffy wedding it was so sweet... even if he sees it go wrong! :)

Part of me feels like saying: Too little too late. But there is still a Spuffy within that is so pleased by this.

Just read an essay and it does sound like them:

Beatrice and Benedick, though always subconsciously aware of each other’s inner beauty, are made aware in a concrete sense when the end comes upon them. They began to understand the game they have been playing and see each other for who they are and as a result love each other even more. Beatrice and Benedick have true and honest passion, which they fought against diligently.
