Heh, heh...I have a really nice piece of citrine someone gave me a while back that was just on my bookshelf, and a truly wonderfully cut piece of Iceland spar. In honor of this story, they're now sitting together, below my monitor, right by Godzilla. I don't happen to have any rust handy, so I guess that'll have to do. XD Thanks for posting!

ASLKHDSF what are wonderful, none-deranged people such as yourself doing in this post? *crushing hug*

Dude, that's awesome! Citrine is gorgeous, isn't it? All I've got my hands on is regular (spectacular!) transparent quartz.
*looks up Iceland spar* Oh, it looks like calcite! *looks at the wiki entry* OH MY GOD IT IS CALCITE! YOU HAVE MY OTP ON YOUR BOOKSHELF!!! *flings self at you*
I'm totally pretending Godzilla is one of the slutty Oxides. SERIOUSLY JUST LOOK HOW DIRTY HE IS. Minerals are so promiscuous sometimes, I swear. Oxides will solidify with anyone.
Also, the geology here is legit! This is a smutty version of the process of this becoming this. And one last geology thing (yes, you totally fired me up, I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU HAVE QUARTZ IN YOUR HOUSE THAT IS SO BADASS) - if you happen to have hydrochloric acid lying around, try pouring it over your Iceland spar. IT WILL FIZZ LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER.

Thanks for existing! *totally overwhelmed by people reading this madness*

Heh, heh...I think that's the first time anyone's called me non-deranged! XD

:D I do like my citrine, but I love the colorless version of quartz, too...I do have a big piece of rock with what looks like a little garden of quartz crystals of the colorless variety growing out of it, but it's about half the size of my head, so it wouldn't fit under my monitor too well. XD You should see the citrine and the Iceland spar, though, all snuggled up together..they look really nice right by Godzilla's foot. :D

You know, he is looking really dirty in that picture...I think he must have been liquidated by Mecha-Godzilla's death ray or something, though.

For some reason, I'm not at all surprised...it's kind of like the mineral version of reality TV, I guess. XD I seriously don't think I could do that to my Iceland spar, though...it's way too gorgeous...I can totally see why Quartz fell for Calcite. :D

My great pleasure! :DDDDDD

I think there should be a limit to how awesome you are allowed to be. Cuz this is just way over the top.

WTF, how did ya even think of something like this?! Damn you for being so creative when I'm not.

RIGHT? :P ♥

Well, if you really wanna know, it started with me taking geology classes, and finding out that when it rains on a dune (=sand [quartz] and seashells [calcite] in a pile together ♥_♥), the water fuses with the CO2 in the ground, creating H2CO3 (a type of acid) that dissolves the calcite and causes the quartz to consolidate into a rock. AND THEN MY OTP IS STUCK TOGETHER FOR EVER :D
*giggles and stops talking*

I can't believe you've read this. Thank you <3

I suspected something like that, still, awesome, I never thought of it.

But dude, this whole thing with subjects... man one could do so much there! A threesome between the O brothers and H <3 Or how NaCl binds H20... depends on if one wanna deal with atoms or molecules *_* Or electrons, thunder seems like a pretty awesome orgasm to me...

OFC I would, ILY. I've read your latest RenIchi too, I just wanted to draw the comment I wanted to give... and then my comp got all infected >_>

Oh my. I'm sure I didn't get a third of the geology references here, but this is STILL AWESOME.
