J: We worked together in '0 Goushitsu no kyaku', right. It was only a scene in which we crossed each other though.
S: Right. That time you kindly talked to me on the set. Another time set in my memories of you is during the Countdown 06-07 in which NEWS came back to activities. That time it was you to call us out on the stage...You've been a nice, warm senpai to us...It's the first time I'll work seriously with a senpai from the Jimusho, it's an honor for me that it's Joshima-kun.
J: Nah nah (lol). NEWS have always had the image of serious guys with a good conduct, I've always seen Kato-kun as a very traditional guy...
S: I can't say if I'm traditional or not but until now I've often played the role of the good guy, elitist characters. This time I'll have a role that I never played before, I look forward to it.
J: It's an interesting character. He's the storyteller and he also have some unusual aspects.
S: That's right. He's kinda elitist too but he hides many things. Being a little brother spoiled by the older one is new to me too...
J: I look forward to being Kato-kun's older brother too. I'm an only child and I never played such a role. I've heard it before, are you an only child too?
S: I am. I'm still searching my standing position as a younger brother too.
J: Me too, today we had the first meeting with the cast and the reading of the script, little by little I'm starting to see the whereabouts of my character. I've already read the script of course but here I had the opportunity to understand in what kind of family and circumstances the character had been raised. I had the gasolin in my car, I put on the keys but the engine still had to get started somehow. The hand grasping the keys was still a little shaking though (lol).
S: If you were nervous we couldn't see that at all. I heard that it's been around 15 years that you don't work in a play, it shocked me.
J: Actually I'm pretty weak on the stage (lol). I'm also worried because I need to talk properly in the standard language.
S: You didn't seem unconfortable at all. On the opposite I realized that I still haven't understood my character completely.
J: From now on there will be many things we absolutely have to do. Today after the reading of the script G2 indentificated the main points, they were a lot! Since the scene where Kato-kun explains the story at the beginning: "You must spell this line with this picture inside your head". He was really detailed.
S: He was accurate and I could say anything but: "I see"...
J: It's difficult to express that (lol). G2 made us see it all very well. Other than playing the role, we have to have the guts in the first and the last scene. This was pointed out too.
S: I'm thankful because he didn't only point out the points where I was being no good, he also gave me some clear hints. I felt a sense of challenge.
J: Sakamoto-kun (V6) and Matsuoka (TOKIO) told me that working with G2 is funny, I'm still unease but I'm looking forward to the rehearsals. In these times to complete a work in a month it's a precious opportunity. That's why I want to try many different things.
S: It's my 2nd time working in a serious play. A play is something that you can complete little by little reading and understanding the work. We'll spend lot of time together so I wish the cohesion between cast and staff will get stronger.
J: As said before it's been 15 years I don't work in a play, exactly because of this I'm searching for something I can do. I want to find it out.
S: I'll work on it with care too.
