Yesterday night I went to watch the global premiere of "Mogura no Uta", directed by Miike Takashi and lead by Ikuta Toma, at the Movie Festival of Rome.
The red carpet began a little later than expected, there weren't too many people waiting there so I could stand in first row easily. Many were clearly fans but a lot of people didn't know who was about to arrive :D Anyway Toma, Miike and the mangaka Noboru Takahashi finally arrived wearing matching kimono and hakama and they were amazing! Ok, spaz time:
Toma is the first Johnny's I see in real life, the first thought was "OMG HE'S REAL" and then "HE'S FREAKING PERFECT". He was stunning, his hair were perfect and shaped in a kind of low mohawk, he looke d very cool and handsome dressed like that. His skin is flawless *_* he's around my same heigth (167cm) and he has a great cute smile ♥
When they arrived they stopped at the beginning of the red carpet to take some official photos, I was with a friend and since we saw some noisy fans we were like "Ok, let's be cool and mature" but then Toma turned and smiled towards us and we totally squealed XDD
They started walking the red carpet and Toma immediately came close to fans to sign autographs and take quick pics, but of course he had to keep moving forward so when he arrived to where I was standing he signed my notebook but didn't have the time to take a picture together (I've been this kind of unlucky all day XD Going there two buses saw me running to take them and didn't stop, Takashi Miike totally moved on me and I couldn't take his sign...orz). Toma looked a little nervous/shy, but he was very kind to everybody, going "Sugoi!" and "Arigato!" (I didn't hear him attempting to talk English XD) to all the fans who brought drawings and hand-made signs for him.
Anyway, while Toma and the others were taking more official photos and interviews I went to take my seat in the theater, finding out that Toma and the rest of Japanese personalities had their seats 2 rows behind me, Toma was on my left → I only had to turn slightly my head to see him *-*
Before the movie started a voice announced the director, actor and mangaka and they received a big applause. The theater was almost full, there weren't only fans but also a lot of older people, foreign people and cinema lovers, a lot of fans of Takashi Miike too.
The movie was amazing! I know Miike's works and this one was absolutely his style, it was crazy and fast and hilarious, I laughed SO MUCH! The whole hall was laughing all the time and in three particularly funny moments people started to clap hands, this surprised the Japanese a lot because it's something that never happens there (Actually it's the first time I hear applauses during a movie too lol). Toma's acting was really great, there were a lot of embarrassing comical parts XD
There was a little cammeo by Terajima Susumu, appearing only in photos, and I squealed and laughed and I think I was the only one in the whole theater X°D Sadly I was sitting around all "normal" people so I was totally alone in my fangirling moments, like when there was Toma half-naked XD
During the movie I sneaked a peek from time to time to Toma, he was watching the screen very focused, I never saw him looking around the hall, but it was very nice to see him laugh naturally watching the movie ♥ He had a proud, serious look and it was totally handsome and very professional.
At the end of the movie there was a LONG round of applauses, it lasted few minutes and Toma and the others kept bowing and smiling and waving their hands. It was a lovely moment. Toma did this adorable thing where he bows a little putting his right hand on his heart ♥
[The big applauses didn't let me listen well to the main soundtrack "KING OF OTOKO" by Kanjani∞ but it's rockish and very Kanjanish, it sounded amazing! It felt SO WEIRD to be in a theather and hear Ryo's voice singing ahahahahahah XD]
When I went out the movie theater I waited a little by the internal red carpet and Toma arrived *^* He had time to take more pictures with fans, this time without anything to keep you away from him. He looked tired but once again he was extremely nice, all smiley and available. AGAIN it was my turn to take a picture with him, I was reaching him and a lady was ready with my phone to take the photo and...he was called for the Japanese TV interviews DDDDD: /shock.
I waited the interviews to end but it was very late (around 1am) and the auditorium was way over his closing time, in the end both the fans, the actors and the Japanese staff had to go out. I think this was a little rude from the organizers, it's not really nice to make VIPs and the audience to go out at the same time and from the same way, Toma walked all way to the taxis with a lot of people following him. Luckily everybody was very polite, we followed him closely but nobody tried to stop him, talk to him or asking him signs or pictures. At this time he looked very tired and he couldn't stop walking so I'm glad nobody bothered him ^^ Moreover in all this way out I had him SO CLOSE. All the moments he had to be with the fans he was so near, I feel dizzy only thinking about it x__x When I was trying to take a picture with him and during our way out I had him at few cms of distance, I still can't believe it. There were a lot of Japanese fans, they were so excited and noisy XD I think it doesn't happen often in Japan to have a Johnny's/actor so close to you, this experience was a real treasure ♥
Before entering the car he stopped a little to wave hands to us ♥
His signature and the cinema ticket ♥_♥
My photos suck so bad ç_ç I'm a fail, sorry!
