TV GUIDE 2010.09 - NEWS LIVE ♥
-How will your new album be after this 1 year and 10 months of waiting?
P: The concept is simply "LIVE", it's a work we did trying to show ourselves just as they are right now. I think that thanks to that long time of waiting we were able to create new sounds.
R: Unexpectedly I'm not feeling like "Waah we're releasing an album!", I'm pretty plain. P too had his solo activities...we never stopped working so maybe I don't feel too much difference.
S: The release of the album was decided at the same time of the concerts.
T: Right. That's why we worked on the songs, the selection and the recording with our eyes fixed on the live.
M: They are all songs that the fans can enjoy a lot during the live. There are manly, cool songs, sweet songs too, there's a good balance!
P: There's a lot of variety. The title song was composed by Greeeen like "Weeeek" but it turned out completely different, right?
K: Yup. It's a good song and I think it reflects well NEWS.
M: "Naiyou no nai tegami" written by Hilcrhyme-san is cool too.
R: Right. I expecially love the nuance "written by hand" of the lyrics of "Endless summer"!
S: Nuance, huh? (lol). For me of course it's the song of my drama "BE FUNKY!". Also the staff felt like dancing freely to it!
T: Wah! That's cool!
K: There are also songs that we didn't sing live yet.
T: Right. I love to sing "Koi no ABO"! I want to dance it with the fans.
K: Thinking about it, we're blessed by many good songs.
M: Yup! They are able to match all our voices and they shape NEWS.
P: By the way...we made everyone wait so much but I think that the waiting will create good things too. I want the fans to sing our new songs at the karaoke soon!
-Tell us about the song that you 6 wrote together "SHARE".
P: That time we wrote down our feelings just like they were...like writing to a friend. My feelings are the same also now.
R: Since my part was the second one after Koyama, I remember I called him asking "What kind of lyrics are you writing?".
K: Saying those lyrics by phone was so embarrassing! (lol). But spelling those honest words later Ryo-chan was able to write something that connected very well.
R: Really!? (lol). The person after me didn't ask me anything though...
M: Ah...(lol). But the feelings were the same! I wrote the lyrics listening to the track and trying to match the melody.
T: I wrote my feelings just as they were too. The lyrics for the chorus came into my mind while I was walking at Shibuya.
S: When it was complete the satisfaction was huge, listening to it again I still think it was a good work.
P: Even if we did it piece by piece by different people it turned out well.
K: When we sang that live all together I had goose-flesh!
-8 years passed since your formation. What kind of NEWS will you be now?
R: 7 years passed since the interview at the prince hotel!? Time's so fast!
M: I'm so happy that we can release an album at the anniversary!
T: The album and in the very day of our formation, it's a double joy. Thought I realized that the day was the same only little time ago and I was really surprised! (lol).
R: Me too...I realized it later (lol)
P: Me too, only when the other told me (lol)
S: After 7 years our feelings are still big and they go on growing.
K: Sure. The more we gather and the more it's enjoyable. Maybe it's a little late but...right now I have the self-confidence to say "This is my group!".
P: Because we passed so many things all together. We helped each others, many times we don't need words to understand each other. It's really amazing all this...
Let's work hard together to have even more fun from now on!

Shige
Two year passed since our last tour. Before it used to be something sure and certain but now I think that being able to perform live is something great. Because we don't have so many opportunities to show us dancing and singing live all together. I want to show how much NEWS grew up.
Lately I went with Massu and Koyama to see Arashi's live. I thought: "Lives are something like this", I was able to study their ways and the feelings of the public. It made me wanna do it too! We can't lose to our sempai, NEWS have to do a great entertaining and original live!
"How is Shige during the LIVE?"
Ryo answers: During the tour we use many stages but Shige always want to confirm the position of the camera during "Izanaizuki"!

Massu
Being able to do concerts as NEWS is the greatest thing. That's why I want it to be a flashy, loud show! Though it would be fine also to have a simple stage.
During the concerts I try to do everything properly. I take big care of my throat. I keep under control the voice also in the moments of big excitement, I do my best to not crush it. It's not like an habit though...Like, when I have long hair I have the habit to shake my head to set them but when they are shorter I don't do it the same (lol). If you notice some of my habits please tell me!
"How is Massu during the LIVE?"
Shige answers: When the tension goes up he always does the pose of "Rawr" with the hand and approaches the others moving quickly on the legs.
Tegoshi
I'm the type who's very noisy during concerts. This time too, in order to do a good stage I want to do many requests. By the way since this tour comes after so many time I want mostly to convey strongly our feelings! I'll be happy if the fans will have the same fun that we have. I wish I could meet the eyes of every single person who came to see us and exchange our feelings.
If there's something wrong, like too much stress, I want everybody to come to my place. We can stay together, have fun and then being able to think "Ok, from tomorrow on let's work hard again!". This is the kind of live I'd want.
"How is Tegoshi during the LIVE?"
Massu answers: When he's on the stage his voice is really loud (lol)! I wonder if people are able to hear me when I'm with him...
Yamapi
For us doing an enjoyable live is the most important thing. It's useless to be satisfied by oneself but if we don't have fun for first we won't be able to convey anything, we can't say to others to have fun too... Live to is a "speech and conduct", I think that express our feelings is really essential. If we lie it would be really easy to tell, right? I want to show ourselves for what we really are!
This time we had so many good songs that only choosing what to sing during the concerts was difficult. I can't wait to meet everybody. I want people to see the "Actual NEWS", I want to get excited all together!
"How is Yamapi during the LIVE?"
Tegoshi answers: I can't think to one of his habits but he always shines so much and he's so kakkoi! Of course the other members too!
Koyama
Starting from the new song LIVE, this time we have many good songs! We didn't perform Koi no ABO yet too, I can't wait to sing and dance with the others. This time our theme is the changing of the seasons. When we noticed that we have songs that picture all the 4 seasons we realized again how much we're blessed with nice songs. I feel grateful.
Since I want to give to the fans all those great songs I want to sing without any shame. The thing that makes us grow up more is the fans' response during the lives so I want to being brought up more and more. We are NEWS!
"How is Koyama during the LIVE?"
Yamapi answers: Koyama always save all us taking care of the MC part. I want to do my best on it too.
Ryo
Right now we're doing meetings and deciding things as the songs list. Trying to understand what do we want to express to the fans is difficult, I wish the live will be funny!
When I can see the faces of the many fans at the concert my heart gets wider. Really, seeing their eyes is so great, I want to be able to see them all! Each and every one! So it's ok if you don't watch at all the other members, please, look only at me (lol). It's been so many time that NEWS had a tour, this time we want to make this span shorter!
"How is Ryo during the LIVE?"
Koyama answers: This time Ryo did for us the organization of the songs of the live! He made me think that he's so full of experience, so cool!
