DUET 2011.02 - NEWS & FOOD
Koyama
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
The lunch I had before work had crab croquets, fried shrimps and salmon onigiri. If I don't eat I don't have energy so during the butai I always tried to properly eat my breakfast. This morning I hate onigiri done with around 2 bowl of rice.
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
Miso ramen. I'd add corn and butter and eat it with rice. Carbohydrate x carbohydrate is very common to me. I eat ramen around 2 times at week, I love noodles. Except for ramen I always eat Japanese food. Before I used to love meat but now I like more fish.
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Maybe yakitori. When I went to eat out sometimes with my university friends we went often to eat yakitori. The goodness of grilled meat is in the way of cooking it in every side, that's why I always want to grill my own! If somebody offers to do that I immediately say "No, I will do it!" standing up (lol). Then, when I'm at the grill it's a silent, serious match! My friends will understand this, when I'm grilling the meat nobody must talk to me. Right, when we went to eat yakiniku with the staff of "Soukon" I grilled all the meat for Tegoshi. He said "Kei-chan, oishii yo!" and it made me happy...eh? Am I Tegoshi's boyfriend!?
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
I don't cook too much but I can do without problems curry rice, omelette rice, stew, fried rice. The dish that may be my specialty is oyakodon! Recently I've been guest and cooked it at "Chubaw desuyo!". The trick to perfectly boil the eggs soft is to regulate the flame. That's difficult. Eh? What if I'm preparing that for somebody? Of course it would be a girl! But in reality I'd prefer to sit on the sofa waiting for a girl to cook for me (lol). If she can cook a good shougayaki I'd be happy.
[Notice that he said that he's the BOYfriend LOL]
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
During the butai, we were served a buffet between the first and the second show, it was so exciting! Being able to eat warm salmon's meuniere, salade, rice was happiness! Then, another one who left me a big impression was the Jangara ramen we had during the drama "Hanayome wa yakudoshi!". I want to call a ramen stand and entertain everybody too! I'll do my best!
-Other than food, what gives you power?
Recently during the butai I've got used to do animated edits with the pc. Editing the videos I took with my friends during some trips made memories come back to me and it was funny. Starting from the song by BEGIN-san for a trip in Okinawa to putting telop effects. What's the point? My character in the butai was a pc otaku! Just before I was able only to type awkwardly with one finger but now I'm very quick and I use both my hands. I'm always at the pc. I can't wait to finish my project to share it with everybody. Videos with the other members? I don't have them! Members are like family to me so it may be a little embarrassing, right? (lol). Even though I said all this, I should leave this to Shige, he's way better than me.
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
My objective as NEWS is to do lots of tours and I'd like to try a variety show all together! Personally I want to go on with my experience at "News every."! Then, I'm out of ideas. Ah, it would also be funny to have talk live show with Shige. We could wander the cafè of the whole country, like "Koyashige's arbitrary Japan tour"!? Maybe we can't go so "arbitrarily"! (lol)
[Make it a mondial tour!]
Massu
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
Coming here I was offered 5 types of Okowa (rice with red beans). I was happy to try so many tastes like Akameshi, toriniku and potato. This morning I ate western gummy candies. I found an economic package with many mini-sized gummy candies and I bought it, I ended up having a junk-food morning...In reality everyday I eat vegetables soup and bread with died plums, an healthy breakfast!
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
I wanna eat snow crab linguine with tomato sause! Linguine are a type of pasta. They have elliptic shape and they taste differently from normal round or plane types. I like their taste so sometimes I feel like eating them. This seems one of those nights...
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Maybe eels. They are famous to be a energetic food so when I'm working and I need power I eat them. But when I have to eat them I have some conflicts. When I go to eat eels I always order "Tamago soboro don" (Rice with minced meat or fish and eggs) so even if there are eels I end up to choose the standard menu. After I ordered I start having regrets (lol). When I order food it's like a fight against myself, maybe that's why they are my "match meal"!?
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
Years ago I cooked fried rice but it was awful and messy, it didn't even look as fried rice! (Bitter smile). So I'd cook a safe simple curry if it's for somebody else. I think I can prepare curry somehow. I never cook so I can't say I have a "specialty"...
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
A two-color soboro bento from a famous catering shop. It was a soboro meal with chicken and eggs full of sauce and it was delicious! There was also a lot of side dishes, boiled eggs, pork meat, tamagoyaki, fried shrimps, various season vegetables, potatoes salade...It was all abundant. Then it was a really cold day so there was also a lot of hot soup, it was real happiness.
-Other than food, what gives you power?
It must be the fans' smiles (grins). There's no need to put this in words, people will understand! Well, other than that of course is to find new clothes. Checking the manifacture saying "Kawaii" or "This must be good!" and thinking all nervous to a possible coordination it's my happiness. When I meet my destiny's clothes I feel like under the effect of love hormones (lol). My heart beats faster and I feel like doing my best!
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
My 2010 was an active year both on private and work's life so I want 2011 to be an even more powerful year! As NEWS I want to go on by little safe steps instead of big ones. As Tegomass I want to do another tour. And personally I'd like to cook. Last day I went to visit a middle schoolmate at his home and he cooked pasta for me. It was so good. He's a macho man all muscles so he wouldn't seem somebody able to cook but he was perfect and so cool. I firstly understood how nice is to cook for a man. This year I'm going to try to cook more!
Tegoshi
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
For lunch I ate a chinese food bento at the TV studios. It had steamed meat dumplings, spring rolls and white rice with seaweed boiled in sweet soy! I love to eat seaweed with different tastes, use soy sauce and put a lot of toppings on food. Expecially I love to eat seaweed boiled in sweet soy even on cold rice.
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
Since today I ate chinese food, tonight I want sushi. Firstly I want to eat trimmed mackerel. I love mackerel miso and soused mackerel too. And my point eating sushi is wasabi! I put wasabi into the rice but I also like to put it inside my soy sauce. Like this the taste of wasabi is doubled!
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Before a soccer match I don't eat anything but if I'm hungry I eat something sweet. Like cream-filled roll or bread with anko. With sugars you gain energy. As reward after a work I want to eat meat! If I go to eat shabushabu I put on a lot of garlic, if it's yakiniku I eat it with gochujang. Even if I'm tired I finish that in a blink!
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
I never really cook though. Recently I tried to prepare something with my friends and we cooked Mabodofu (Sichuan style bean curd). You add garlic, ginger, gochujang, beans sauce and carefully season it. It's not hot so I also added a lot of hot spices. It was delicious of course. We boiled too much rice though so it was left over. The next day we couldn't eat that and it was a waste (lol).
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
I like the western food bento that we often have during ItteQ. The main dish is curry and hamburger with lots of secondary dishes, it's so good. I like to have heavy meals. Then during the concerts we had a catering, being able to eat warm meals makes me happy. The menus change according to the place we go to so they're always different. The one I eat the most is udon. Of course the one from Sanuki was delicious.
-Other than food, what gives you power?
Something that gives me energy is playing soccer with my friends. Recently I've been able to play against a OB player from my favourite team, I hade goose flesh! Usually I'm the type to play doing lots of dribblings but in front of my favourite player I was too scared. I couldn't do anything but playing always passing the ball quickly. Like a real chicken (lol). Even a friend who came to see that told me "Why you didn't play as usual!". We also lost the game for 1-0 and it was frustrating but I was so happy.
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
This year will start with the drama "Dekawanko" so I'll pitch with all my energies for it! I also want to have tours as NEWS and as Tegomass and I want to go to many places with ItteQ. I'll do my best to be on air a lot. In my private life I'd like to have an event with my friends! I'm used to have Hanami in spring, fireworks and sea in summer and snowboard in winter. Last year I celebrated my first Halloween in costume. We decided that after a soccer match, it was funny! I leave to your imagination what kind of costume I wore (lol). This year too I want to have many parties and celebrations with my friends.
Yamapi
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
I ate my lunch at home, white rice with eggs. I had no many time so I microwaved it and ate in haste. I eat white rice and eggs once every 2 days. I love it and it's perfect when you have little time. I also add a little soy sauce, it's really good.
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
A pan! In such a winter night of course I want pan! I want to eat that every week. Also this boiled chicken I'm eating now (during the interview) is good! It's warm. A nice welcome from you (lol). It's also relaxing. It would be great to always have interviews like this in a restaurant, right? Thank you for the next ones! Family restaurants are ok, I like also spicy food so we could try Korean restaurant too, how does it sound?
[You sound maphios Yamapi!!]
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Yakiniku! When I'm very hungry I always want it. I ate it recently, 1 week ago. My favourite is Harami (skirt steak). Anyway, why everybody like to begin from Tan (tongue)? (Staff answered to him: "Isn't it because like this you don't dirt the net?") Ah, I see! (satisfied). Then, another thing that gives me energy is...curry. I like super spicy indian curry. Eating such violent things gives me energy.
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
It's better if I don't cook anything for other people. Right, "and what if your girlfriend comes at your place?", what can I cook for a girl...curry of course (lol). Curry soup plus chicken and since I'd like to give many vegetables to her I'd add lots of them.
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
When I'm in some location I prefer warm foods. Like curry, soba or ramen. The one that left me the biggest impression is the salted ramen I had during "Dragonzakura". At that time I was just 20 so it was a summer night of around 5 years ago. It was so good. We got that from a famous ramen shop.
-Other than food, what gives you power?
Concerts! Obviously when the fans goes "Waah" excitedly and they smile to me it turn into a great power. It gives me the strenght to do my best for the next time too. Then, meeting my friends, it gives me lots of energies. Recently I tried to relax more than gaining energy, I wanted to recharge myself. I slept a lot sitting on the sofa (lol). At home I have heated floor so the warmth comes up to my bared feet, it's so good to sleep like that.
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
Well, I'm going to do my very best at many things! Personally I will have my solo tour. I want it to be showy. My costumes will be and I want also the places to be cool and gaudy. Then, I know that there are thing that you can't do as a group but only as solist so I'll try my best to do them (lol). There are also, of course, things that I can't do alone so I will put my efforts for the group's activities too. I think we should talk a lot about our next directions. Anyway, I'll be very busy in the first half of year. The album, the single, the concerts and the movie...My fist half of the year is always full and I have to spend all my energies in Autumn and Winter, you know? (lol) Will this year be like this too!?
[This...well, no comment >_>]
Ryo
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
Instant yakisoba. Well, it's not the last meal I had, I'm eating this just now during the interview (lol). I love it. I eat this 3 times a week. But I have a rule inside of me, I never eat this at home. Eating this all alone at home would make me cry. It makes me think that if my mom sees such a scene she would feel sad for me. That's why I decided to eat it only at work. A little out of topic but my dad is really great at preparing instant ramen. He adds eggplant to it and he's the best at choosing toppings!! I loved that when I was little, I called it "Ken-chan ramen" and I always asked for it: "Otosan! Make me a ken-chan ramen!!". Now I also like fried bread and mentaiko onigiri. My breakfast is natto and fried bread.
[This. Cracked. Me. Off LOL]
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
I have promised to a friend to eat with him but we still haven't decided where. I want to eat something boiled! If there's Kinpiragobou it would be great! But most of all I'd like to eat something cooked for me. Home-made meals taste different, right? I notice this just now but recently the only home-made meals I've eaten were...the ones I cooked (T_T). Ah! Maybe I should go to Jin's home! Sometimes I go there, even if he's not at home (lol). In those cases his mom cooks for me and she's so good! In the end she even prepares the bath for me, there I feel at home like if it was my own family (lol). I'll try to call there later!
[LOL Ryo is really the best!! Poor Jin XD]
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Fried bread. I love it so I eat it always, not only for challenges. I love it so much that it makes me worry: "I love you that much but do you love me back?".
[ORLY?]
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
I guess it's steamed pork meat on beansprouts with ponzu or normal shabushabu? Then I'm good to prepare salad with mushrooms and spinaches and miso soup. Ingredients are frying oil, enoki and wakame, the biggest point there is to add lots of onion. It's really delicious! You know, once I cooked that for Uchi. He ate that in one blow and he said for joke "It sucks! (lol)"...sorry, this memory just came out (lol).
[Kyaaaah >///<]
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
The catering when I was in concert in Ooita. It was a chicken tenpura called "Chicken paradise", it was full of sauce. Moreover, eating that with the others was the best! It was so delicious.
-Other than food, what gives you power?
Being with friends. And surfing. Going to the sea, changing into the windsuit and walking until the beach. Getting ready saying lots of stupid things and laughing for anything. Then getting into the water and waiting for waves. Our favourite thing though is to face the East and wait for the sun to rise, it's so bright that you can't see the water. It's the best feeling ever. It gives you power and it makes you feel grateful of being alive.
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
I'll do my best! I want to do concerts with NEWS again, I'd like to release a single too. In my private life I'd want to raise my diving license's grade. I want to bounce!! Only because this is the rabbit year (lol).
Shige
-At the present time, what was the last meal you ate?
I washed dows snug fashionable onigiri and hamburger with water and a sport drink. If it was a normal day I would have eaten more than this. Today there was a certain circmstance and I tried to regulate my stomach saving some space (lol).
[Said like this it seems you have dhiarrea or something Shige >_>]
-Today's dinner, what's the menu you hope for?
Yesterday's afternoon I was near what is for me the "best of the spiced noodles" restaurant. It's a super popular place that it's open only until the sunset so I never have the opportunity to go there. I spent the day thinking: "If I finish this work soon I absolutely have to go there!" and all ready I went at the restaurant at 3:30pm. And there, there was that sign! "We're over for today". The restaurant closed at 3pm (T_T). It's too early...
I was craving for noodles so before going home I bought a cup of instant ramen, I ate it quickly and went to bed in a huff. In other words, the reason why in the previous answer I said that I was saving space it's that today I'm going to eat spiced noodles! And now I'm starving...
[LOL again "that" sign!! So unlucky!! Btw he clearly explained all this because he understood that his previous answer was ambiguous LOL]
-A "Match meal" that you want to eat to gain power!
Rebazashi (Liver). Once I had as diet brown rice and beans (like beansprouts and tofu), it was a diet without meat. I lost weight until a certain degree when my friends invited me to have yakiniku. When I ate rebazashi that time I was shocked for all the energy it gave to my body! It was like the adrenaline went up (lol). I was deeply moved by the goodness of meat.
[Ewww TwT]
-A "Specialty" that you'd like to cook for somebody!
I'd cook anything I'm asked. I have the hobby of reading recipe books and gourmet magazines. My friends use to call me "Ristorante Shige". Recently I became able to fillet fish in the sanmai style, I improved my Japanese menu so soon they'll start to call me "Kappou Shige (Japanese-style restaurant)". My specialty would be...takoyaki. Takoyaki is really standard so I could use sauté duck meat instead of octopus, adding duck and onion ponzu, fresh cutted tomatoes with salt and grill everything. I can do many different takoyaki. There, we could it them all together after a soccer match! I should call Tegoshi's team for it...well, I would never partecipate to a soccer match anyway (lol).
[Cook for me Shige not for Tegoshi!! TOT]
-What is the meal that you had during work, like a bento in a location, that left you the biggest impression?
4 years ago during the shootings for "Busu no hitomi ni koishiteru!" we received a catering from a ramen restaurat, I was so surprised. That time I was only a teenager and it was a shock. We also had warm bento. I remember I yelled "Acchi! (Hot!)".
[4 years ago...you were 19 yrs old Shige...WTH "only a teenager", did you forget you're already 23? XD Actually I'm just hating him because he made me count that 4 years ago I was kinda in my twenties as him too :\ ]
-Other than food, what gives you power?
Sleep. Since when I go to bed I end up thinking too much the best to me it's to suddenly fall asleep watching tv on the sofa (lol). Anybody would love to end their days laughing, right? That's why I like to watch variety show and comical shows before sleeping.
-Please, talk about your objectives for this new year full of power!
I want to do a strict cut of my many hobbies! Photography, movies, reading, pressure training, fishing, travels, bordering, pottery, net surfing, etc... I don't know myself where I'm going to (lol). I have to decrease them so that I will be able to understand what I really want to do and what shall stay just an hobby. Photography, movies, reading and pressure training are directly connected to my job so I want to go on with them, I'll leave the others in my personal drawer. Recently though I've been interested into vynil appreaciation. I also found a turntable...Will I be ok?
[Turntable...it's charming...but really? And did you really need me to google around the world to understand what the heck you were talking about? LOL damn Shige <3 ]
