I think most of us have moved to tumblr or at least find pics their to post in lj communities. Having this journal for almost 8 years I was hesitant to get a tumblr account but it's addicting...

I had a normal tumblr blog for a while but stopped. I like how here you can at least comment whereas on tumblr, not so much. plus i prefer the idea of communities with rules which doesn't exist on tumblr afaik

This is true, there is less communication kind of unless you do an endless stream of reblogging. For some reason the communities I'm in and even friends' posts started to be so inactive and the advertisements you can't close got frustrating :(
