Today is a day I need to be productive. There is much to be done before my class at 7 tonight, and I have the rest of the day to do it. First and foremost there is a shower and lunch. The former because the gym made me yucky and the latter because if not, I'll wreck my concentration for the rest of the day. The rest of my to-do list consists of ( Read more... )

Congrats on finally getting off-board! :)

As for your issues with the Honors research, this is what I do when I start a new project. I get as many papers as possible and write out a timeline of events (events for me being what was discovered or determined). It helps me know the progression of events, which helps me know where my research fits in in the grand scheme of things. That way you have it down in one place, and you can look at it and possibly determine a thesis.
And from one Honors student to another, you'll have to rewrite. It's a fact of life. Once you can get past perfectionist tendencies and deal with it, you'll be fine. Good luck!

Not to add more work to your project but NPR has been talking all day about a man named House (I haven't been listing very carefully cause I've been at work) who is trying to get a new trial. Mostly they keep talking about how the Court has never determined if it is against the Consitiution to kill an innocent man. Interesting stuff.

Oh and Arnold (california's favorite) didn't stop that excecution and his home town in Sweden stripped his name from their advertisments.

Now that I am done throwing even more information onto your pile I should say something encouraging like: breathe, it is not as bad as it seems and once you start writing it really does become easier. In my experience it is the beginning that is the hardest, especcially when you have just a pile of information. And Megan is right about the outline and rewrites.

But I am not that nice, so I'm just going to sign off and disapper for another two months with no encouraging words. :)
