Doomed to Fail

Some of the new crop of medical residents have begun to arrive at Longwood, to check out where they will be slaving  away for the next few years. As always, they are a mixed lot of expectations and fears. One young woman in particular is never going to survive. Why? I quote:
"Children's is a great hospital, I could learn a lot if the damn nurses

That's like saying: "I could learn a lot if people would just get these books out of my face..."

Idiot. Everyone, from the patients up to the hospital administration, knows that you have to be nice to the nurses... smile, chat, buy them candy, whatever. It's just a matter of enlightened self-interest, after all.

Oh man, she is doomed. Especially when she pulls that attitude with any of the nurses who have been there for 20 years.
