Reita/Uruha - I'll Make an Exception Tonight - PG - Oneshot

Nov 02, 2007 22:47

Reita opened his door, revealing an excited Uruha-holding up a plastic bag from a movie rental store in one hand and a handful of microwavable popcorn bags in the other. “MOVIE NIGHT!”

His eyes widened at Uruha’s enthusiasm, but before he could gather himself enough to respond-Uruha pushed his way into Reita’s apartment. “Hello to you, too.” He mumbled, closing the door.

After last night, Reita wanted nothing more than to watch a movie with Uruha. Not sure how much of the night’s events Uruha would remember, Reita took the initiative and asked Uruha to come over to his apartment tonight and watch a movie. He would have to do some minor investigating to figure out how much he really remembered.

Slipping his shoes off, Uruha skipped his way into the kitchen-depositing the movie bag on Reita’s couch as he went-with plans of popping some popcorn. “Hey, Reita, come here,” Uruha called from the kitchen as he put the popcorn in the microwave and started the popping.

Moving into the kitchen, Reita leaned against the wall as he asked, “Yeah?”

“I brought a funny movie and a scary movie. Which do you wanna watch?” he asked. “I know you don’t usually like scary movies so-“

“SCARY!” he said quickly, earning raised eyebrows from Uruha. Embarrassed by his outburst, he continued more calmly, “The scary movie is fine with me, really.” He blushed slightly, fully aware of why he was fine with watching a scary movie tonight. Uruha was known for how easily frightened he was by horror flicks. He was also known for the clinginess resulting from his fright. Of course, until now, Reita had always been too awkward to sit next to Uruha while watching scary movies; being that close was too much for him to handle, knowing how much he’d love for Uruha to simply jump right into his lap.

But now… he knew Uruha wanted him just as much as he wanted Uruha.

The dinging of the microwave-signaling the end of the popcorn’s cooking-interrupted Uruha’s scrutinizing stare. He turned around and opened one of Reita’s cabinets-pulling out a bowl for the popcorn. Finishing his task by dumping the popcorn into the bowl, he handed it to Reita and grabbed two bottles of water from the fridge.

“So, what did you get up to last night?” Reita questioned nervously, following Uruha into the living room.

Setting the waters down on the coffee table, Uruha threw himself on Reita’s couch. He yelped, pulling the movie bag out from under his ass and handing it to Reita as he answered, “I went out drinking.”

Reita took the DVD as he set the bowl on the coffee table. He headed towards the DVD player, popping the movie in and making his way towards the couch. Reita made to sit down as he opened his mouth to speak. He was quickly stopped as Uruha pushed his ass away and frantically said “Lights! Lights! Lights!” Reita rolled his eyes, walking over to the light switch and flipping the lights off-the only light now being the eerie glow from the TV.

Plopping down on the couch-a seat between the two-Reita continued his interrogation. “Good drinking?”

He sighed, “Eh, it served its purpose.”

Taking note of the missing nervous attitude, he decided Uruha had no suspicions involving Reita and last night. Satisfied, he dropped the subject and turned towards the screen. “So, what the hell is this about?”

“Oh, I have no idea. It looked really creepy, though.”

------------------------------

Popcorn bowl and water bottles now empty-the movie had been playing for about forty-five minutes and Reita couldn’t help but steal glances at Uruha what seemed like every five minutes. It’s safe to say Reita had no idea what was going on in the movie. Uruha, on the other hand, had his gaze fixed on the screen. The space between them had gradually been reduced to about a foot on account of Uruha moving closer and closer to Reita’s side of the couch.

A loud noise in the movie caused Uruha to cut down that distance by half as he yelped in fear. Reita bit his lip, trying to stop the smile from spreading across his face. He could tell any minute now Uruha would be touching him.

He was right. Not even two minutes passed before Uruha had completely closed the distance between them. Their thighs were pressed against each other and Uruha had flung his arms around Reita’s neck as he pressed their temples together-still staring intently at the television.

“Ohmigod! Ohmigod! OH MY GOD, DON’T GO OUTSIDE!” he screamed at the TV, tightening his arms around Reita’s neck-scared out of his mind. Grinning like a damn fool, Reita closed his eyes so he could revel in the feeling of Uruha clinging to him. He turned his head slightly, enjoying the smell of Uruha’s shampoo; he sighed happily.

He was jerked out of his blissful state as Uruha screamed-jumping into Reita’s lap as he still desperately clung to Reita’s neck. “Holy shit, I can die happy,” was all Reita was thinking at that moment as he wrapped his arms around Uruha’s waist. Leaning in, Reita nuzzled the hair covering Uruha’s ear as he whispered “Uruha.”

Reita quickly learned this was a mistake. Uruha screamed as he fell off of Reita and onto the floor. Wide-eyed and smiling, Reita stared at his frazzled friend as he sat on the floor. Glaring at the offender, Uruha threw one of the empty water bottles at him. “JACKASS!” he yelled and climbed back onto the couch to sit next to said-jackass.

Reita looked critically at the space between them, willing it to become smaller. It didn’t take long before a ghost possessed someone, a psycho claimed another victim, or a trippy nightmare sequence made an appearance-something to that affect. He wasn’t really paying attention to the movie and, honestly, Reita could care less what had happened. All Reita cared about was the feeling of Uruha’s arms wrapped around his middle as he hid his face in Reita’s neck. He wrapped an arm around Uruha, pulling him closer.

Every time there was a loud noise, Uruha tightened his hold on Reita and whimpered into his neck. Reita was sure his face would split from grinning so much. He couldn’t help it; he had wanted nothing more than to hold Uruha and finally he could. Braving what sight might be on the screen, Uruha had gone back to watching the movie-still clinging to Reita’s torso.

Uruha had managed to slip a hand under Reita’s shirt unknowingly. Reita gasped softly; he turned to look at Uruha just as Uruha turned to hide his face from the scary scene-the result being a lip lock. Uruha’s eyes were wide as his lips stayed in contact with Reita’s. On the other hand, Reita had closed his eyes, moving his hands to Uruha’s hair to prevent him from moving away; there was no way he was giving this chance up. He parted his lips-tugging on Uruha’s bottom lip gently, causing Uruha to whimper. No longer too shocked to participate, Uruha slowly moved his lips against Reita’s-who let out a moan of satisfaction now that Uruha was kissing him back.

That didn’t last long. Someone got his or her head chopped off-or something else just as gruesome, Reita was sure-and the loud noise caused Uruha to break away from the kiss. He, once again, jumped into Reita’s lap-wrapping his arms around Reita’s neck as he screamed.

“Are you kidding me?!” he complained to whichever god was against him at the moment. “I was SO close to making out with him and some dickface went and got themselves mutilated!” he let his head fall onto the back of the couch as he squeezed his eyes shut-letting out a groan of frustration.

Reita’s groan quickly turned into a yelp as his eyes flew open-shocked to feel lips on his. Uruha maneuvered himself so he was straddling Reita’s lap-his arms wrapped around his neck-and he ran his tongue lightly along Reita’s lips, urging Reita to part them. Reita complied, moaning as his hands found their way to Uruha’s back, slowly moving downwards to finally rest above his pants. “No, I think now I can die happy,” Reita thought as Uruha broke away from the kiss-trailing light kisses across his cheek until, finally, he latched onto Reita’s neck and sucked gently. Reita whimpered, moving his hands to Uruha’s ass and pulling him closer.

He really thought he might die at this point-right along with the person who, he assumed, just got slashed in the movie. He wondered in irritation why they insisted on making so much damn noise whenever they’re being attacked. He was really wishing they’d shut up, because-once again-Uruha fell backwards onto the floor as he heard the loud noises from the movie.

Reita sighed, holding a hand out for Uruha-who accepted-and pulled him back onto the couch. “We really can’t be doing this during horror movies. As much as I’d love to have you squirming on top of me, that doesn’t apply when it involves you falling on the floor in fear."

Uruha smiled sheepishly, mumbling “Sorry.” Reita simply rolled his eyes as he smiled-wrapping an arm around his friend to cuddle. Both focused on the movie then, noticing they were just in time for the happy end scene. They watched in silence-even as the credits rolled-until Uruha gasped, looking at Reita. “We just made out!”

Raising an eyebrow as he smirked, Reita said, “Uh, yeah.”

“WE JUST MADE OUT.”

“Yeah, I know. I was there.”

“REITA! Since when have you wanted me?!”

He laughed as he said, “I could ask you the same thing!”

Eyes as wide as saucers, he continued with his questioning, “Why didn’t you ever say anything?!”

“Uru, I had no idea you wanted me back! Did you expect me to just casually pop out with ‘Oh, by the way-I’m in love with you’?”

Uruha blinked stupidly at him, not being able to form a proper sentence. Shortly after, he managed to spit out “Why now?!”

Reita smiled in embarrassment, saying, “Well… this time I knew you wanted me back.”

“HOW?”

Staring at his lap, he ran his fingers through his hair nervously as he mumbled, “You… kind of told me.”

“I did no such thing!” Uruha exclaimed, sure of himself.

Twisting his lips awkwardly, Reita slowly began, “Did you… meet anyone interesting while you were out drinking?”

Tilting his head in thought, Uruha scratched his cheek as he said “Yeah, actually…”

“Maybe… he was wearing a hat? Perhaps even a hood?”

“Yeah, actually… I did. How did you-“

“Uruha, that was me.” He said, flatly. Uruha fell on to the floor, once again, completely shocked. “Do I have to glue your butt to the couch?” he asked in exasperation-grabbing the empty popcorn bowl and putting it upside down on Uruha’s head.

Uruha lifted the bowl slightly so he could make eye contact with Reita. He smiled shyly as he mumbled, “I’ll forgive you for pretending to be a stranger, but only because I love you a little bit.” His face softening, Reita held his hands out for Uruha-who grabbed his hands and pulled himself into Reita’s lap.

Reita wrapped his arms around Uruha and kissed him on the cheek as he pulled the bowl off of Uruha's head-tossing it somewhere and mumbling, "I love you a little bit, too."

A/N:  I really liked how That Kind of Love ended, but  whatevs. I like this too. Holy GOD if my TV doesn't kick its crack habits, I will punch that mothersucker in the SCREEN. It's got a mind of it's own!  Srsly  I was pushing  the volume up and WHAT DOES IT DO? TURNS THE VOLUME DOWN. I'm not even kidding.  Speaking of addictions... apparently, my writing can't be stopped.

I decided to share a song with you fine folks. We're Comin' to Kill Ya - Zachariah & The Lobos Riders. I cannot listen to this song without laughing, holy shit. it kind of goes with the horror movie theme. It's totally from a B movie.

oneshot, reita/uruha
