Comments: Well, I did it. I'm writing a multi-chapter fic. I really never thought this would happen. Ever. I hope everyone likes it, though! ♥
Reita couldn’t be happier. He really couldn’t. His life was perfect. He was part of a fantastic band (you might have heard of them… the GazettE?) He was earning a fantastic amount of money. He had a fantastic apartment. He even had a fantastic couch, which he was currently sitting on with his fantastic boyfriend-the fantastic guitarist in the fantastic band Reita was a part of. He goes by the name of “Fantastic Uruha.” People generally call him “Uruha” for short, though.
They were spending their day off the same way they usually do-watching a movie at one of their apartments and cuddling on the couch. It was all just absolutely fantastic.
“Reita?” Uruha asked as he shifted his head-which rested on Reita’s shoulder-slightly to look at Reita.
“Mhm?” Reita asked, using the arm wrapped around Uruha to pull him closer.
“I had something I really wanted to tell you,” Uruha said quietly, his voice shaking with nerves.
“What is it Uru? You know you can tell me anything!” Reita said with a chuckle, lightly rubbing Uruha’s shoulder.
“I-I…” Uruha stuttered.
Laughing softly, Reita nudged Uruha’s shoulder with his hand. “Come on now! What is it? It can’t be that difficult to say!” Laughing again, Reita said, “It’s not like you’re going to tell me you love me or anything.” As soon as Reita said that, he felt Uruha tense in his hold. “Shit! Were you?!”
“Not anymore, dipshit!” Uruha yelled as he jerked Reita’s arm off of him and stood up angrily.
“Uruha! Don’t be that way!” Reita pleaded as he stood up as well.
“No! I’m ready to spill my heart to you about these feelings I have-feelings that make me feel like I’ll BURST any second-and you pull a classic REITA and fuck things up!”
Reita reached out for Uruha’s arm and grabbed it gently, saying, “Baby-“
Jerking his arm out of Reita’s hold, Uruha spat, “DON’T ‘BABY’ ME, REITA! See if I ever try and say the L word to you again!” as he walked towards Reita’s door.
“Uruha, don’t leave angry,” Reita said softly and desperately.
His hand on the knob, he turned around as he heard Reita speak to him. “Reita… I’m not angry,” Uruha said as his face softened. Reita’s eyes glinted with hope… until he heard what Uruha said next: “I’m hurt.”
And with that, Uruha left Reita’s apartment.
The rest of the night Reita had spent calling Uruha. Reita had tried calling Uruha too many times to keep track of, but Uruha never answered his phone. He really felt like the biggest asshole in the world. To top off the craptastical sundae, Reita loved Uruha! He knew he loved him! What he didn’t know is why he had to screw up and say something so stupid. He was seriously considering a name change from “Reita” to “Mood-Killer” or maybe “Dickhead Extraordinaire.” It was as Uruha had said, Reita was known for fucking things up.
Being miserable was quite tiring. Reita couldn’t keep his eyes open much longer. He brushed his teeth and did all of his nightly chores to get ready for sleep, and then he settled down in his Uruha-less bed. Every once in a while, they would stay the night with each other. It was nothing but innocent spooning and of course the necessary sleeping, but Reita loved it. And he loved Uruha even more.
With a heavy sigh, he switched his lamp off and pulled the covers over his body-drifting off to sleep. Hours later, a loud crashing and an “Ow!” awakened Reita. Groaning, he sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes. Leaning over a little, he turned on the lamp on his bedside table to see what the ruckus was about. Reita gasped at what he saw.
A Fairy. There was a grown man standing in his room, next to his window! A grown man with wings! He didn’t look any taller than Ruki, but he definitely wasn’t the size stories make them out to be. Not to mention, this fairy was male!
He really did not fit the way Reita would have imagined a fairy to look. His hair was styled in a short purple Mohawk and his face was pierced in multiple places-his eyebrow, his nose, and his lip. A pair of plaid bondage pants combined with a tee shirt that was ripped in several places made up the fairy’s outfit. Covered with thick, black, combat boots, his feet hovered a few inches off of the ground. The hovering was undoubtedly caused by the flapping iridescent wings-which were protruding out of the fairy’s back. Aside from the wings, one other thing that stayed true to the image of a fairy in Reita’s mind was the glittery wand that the fairy was holding.
“Quit gawking!” the fairy sighed. “Geez, it’s like a man’s never seen a fairy before!”
That snapped Reita out of his daze. He quickly jumped out of bed and grabbed the first thing he got a hold of-a hairbrush-and held it out threateningly towards the fairy. “What the fuck do you want?!” Reita shrieked.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” the fairy said as he waved his hands. “Drop the brush before anyone gets hurt!” he finished with a chuckle.
“HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET IN HERE?! DO YOU EVEN EXIST?”
“I’m a fairy, doofus! I can fly and pop in and out of places at my heart’s desire! And of course I exist! I’m just as real as the idiocy leaking out of your mouth!” the fairy retorted in an offended manner.
“What the FUCK are you doing in my room?!”
“Look, I think we got off to a bad start,” the fairy said as he drifted closer to Reita-who held the hairbrush up higher in front of him, jabbing it in the fairy’s direction. The fairy grabbed the brush and threw it elsewhere. Holding out the hand that wasn’t grasping his wand, the fairy said, “Lorenzo the Fairy, at your service!”
Reita stared at the hand for a good minute before slowly holding his own out and gripping Lorenzo’s hand for a handshake. “My name is Reita.”
“The buzz about town is that you fucked up with your love life; am I close?”
“Uh…” Reita scratched his head and then nodded. “Yeah, that’s pretty much it.”
“Hold on a sec while I make a call,” Lorenzo pulled out a cell phone and punched some buttons as he floated to the other side of Reita’s room. Reita heard some quiet mutterings and saw Lorenzo nodding his head every once in a while until finally, Lorenzo snapped his phone shut and floated over to Reita. “Okay, so I just got the 411 on your situation. And I must say, you had a bit of a fuck up!”
Reita grunted in displeased acknowledgement of that fact.
“Shall we work a bit of fairy magic and see what’s in store for you?” Lorenzo asked with a smirk. “Look into the pretty bubble… and see… your future,” Lorenzo said dramatically. Waving his wand extravagantly, he conjured up a bubble-which hovered in the space between them. Reita nervously, but curiously, leaned closer to observe what was appearing in the bubble.
“I hate you Reita! I never want to see your fucking face again!” Uruha shouted as tears streamed down his face. The other three members of the GazettE were watching the two with wide eyes. “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t do this anymore!” Uruha cried with a shake of his head. “I quit. Find a new fucking guitarist!” he said in a low and venomous voice before he turned and hurried out of the GazettE’s practice room.
“IS THAT REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN?!” Reita shouted as he jerked his attention from the bubble and trained it instead on Lorenzo-who was nodding his head solemnly.
Lorenzo abruptly stopped his nodding and instead shook his head and started laughing as he said, “No, I just love seeing how people react to the worst possible outcomes” and then slapped his knee as he bent over with laughter.
“Fucking fairy!”
Lorenzo jerked upright and stopped his laughing. “Oh, like you can talk! What was it that summoned me here again…?” Lorenzo asked as he tapped his chin in mock-thought. “Oh right, the miserable mood you radiate because you fucked up with the love of your life-your best friend. Your best friend who has a penis! Watch who you’re calling a fairy, fairy!”
Reita’s eyes bugged out as he yelled, “YOU’RE ACTUALLY A FAIRY! Oh my God I’m talking to a fairy. I’M TALKING TO A FAIRY!” Reita began pacing as he ran his hands through his hair.
“Look, you can choose to continue your little freak out session or you can just accept the reality. Either way you look at it, the worst that will happen is that you’ll wake up tomorrow and your life will suck just as bad as it does right now!” Lorenzo said. Reita sighed as he fell into a sitting position on the floor next to his bed. “I can’t actually tell you what will happen,” Lorenzo continued.
“Why not?!” Reita pleaded.
“Article 184 in the fairy handbook: Fairies must not reveal what will happen in a client’s future-under any circumstances. Fairies are permitted to guide and suggest, but not to reveal!” he recited the handbook which he knew by heart from his many years spent as a fairy of the most professional stature. “So, I can’t tell you anything of that sort.” Lorenzo paused before he asked, “You’d like to change what happened?”
Reita sat up straighter as he leaned against his bed-still seated on the floor. “I would give anything to change what happened.”
“Well, I have some good news! And even better, you won’t have to give a thing!”
“I’m still a little freaked out,” Reita said, looking sternly at Lorenzo.
“Okay, okay… I know the wings are a bit intimidating-“
“A bit?”
“Oh shut up, would ya? I can’t do anything about them! Get over it! I’m trying to help a fella out, here!” Lorenzo said as he threw his arms up in annoyance. Deciding that he would be allowed to finish his proposition without interruption, Lorenzo continued, “Anyway… You said you wanted to change what happened?” Reita nodded enthusiastically in response. “Well”-Lorenzo crossed his arms over his chest as he smiled smugly-“I have that power.”
Gasping, Reita excitedly asked, “Really?! No joke?”
“Do I look like a comedian?” Lorenzo said as he rolled his eyes.
“No, but you do look a bit comical.”
“OI!” Lorenzo shouted, bopping Reita on the head with his wand. “I can fly right out that window, mister!”
“Sorry!” Reita said, throwing his hands up in surrender. “So… tell me how this works?”
“I have the power to place you in a situation similar to the one you-how should I say this-botched… but-“
“There’s a but,” Reita said.
“There is a but. I can put you in a similar situation, allowing you to redo; there will be no undoing.”
“I don’t understand… how are they different?” Reita asked.
“If something were to be undone, it’s as if it never happened… isn’t it?” Reita nodded in agreement with Lorenzo. Continuing, Lorenzo said, “You’d be asked the same questions, in the same places, by the same people, but this time you’d be able to give different answers. With redoing, being in the situation you’ll be placed in also means that your oopsy with your boy-toy today never would have happened. The catch is… the situation won’t be identical.”
“Oh my God, I still don’t understand!” Reita whined, holding his forehead in his hand.
“Look here, Einstein… what I’m telling you is that there won’t be a repeat of the same events allowing you to make the turnout different. I suppose a better way to put this is that you’ll be given a second chance.”
“A second chance sounds great, though!” Reita exclaimed. Lorenzo laughed nervously as he tilted his head to the side. “…Doesn’t it?” Reita asked unsurely after seeing Lorenzo’s reaction.
“Listen kid, I know you just wanna make right… but it’s not all cake and ice cream. I don’t know what sort of scene you’ll be thrust into. I can’t even promise you’ll still be a human.”
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah. I’m warning you what you’re getting into.”
“But no matter what happens… I’ll have another chance to tell Uruha,” Reita said softly.
“That you will,” Lorenzo said with a small nod.
“I’ll take it!” Reita answered confidently as he hopped to his feet and nodded his head.
“Listen Rambo-“
“It’s Reita.”
“You’re my eleventh R tonight kid. Cut me some slack! Like I was saying, listen REITA… you might end up a platypus or… on planet mars! I really have no idea what will happen. Your little band The Kazoo-“
“the GazettE,” Reita corrected.
“WHATEVER! It might not exist anymore,” Lorenzo explained, using hand gestures to emphasize the seriousness of this decision.
Reita sighed out of frustration. “But you told me Uruha would still be there! And I’d have a chance to fix this mess!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah… your precious flower will be there for you,” Lorenzo answered with a disinterested wave of his hand.
Reita sighed and then nodded his head resolutely. “That’s all that matters to me.”

A/N: I'm not sure how long this will be exactly, but I'm guessing it'll be about 6 chapters. I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew. I already know the ending. I didn't want to write a chapter fic and have no idea where it was going because I knew I'd end up not finishing it -_-'
