I do love Billy Drago, who was fanastically creepy yet magnetic in The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.. (I loved the shit out of that show, the cast was amazing.) Mostly he's just creepy here (and how much was makeup vs. not ageing well?), but still, eeeeeee.
Besides that... kind of mediocre episode. Seriously, stop picking on Scully. Though Mulder did take his fair share of abuse in the multi-part bridging this season and last. Fun with the Mother-style dead body and its reveal.
Y'know, when they were in Vancouver they didn't set every single goddamn episode in Vancouver, but maybe Vancouver is easier to pass off as other locations than Los Angeles is, since Los Angeles is weird and flat (but in a different weird flat way than the Midwest) and has palm tress and kind of a distinctive sky. Though that makes me think back to "Detour" and the fact that the Vancouver rainforest doesn't look quite like the Florida swamps.
So anyway... meh. Though Mulder and Scully's interactions were intriguing in this one. And mulling over "First-Person Shooter" before I even think of attempting to write something I don't have the chops for I should finish any of these dozens of WIPs in my folder.
