so there's this tradition in the philippines where when you turn 18, they have what you call a "Debut". like a coming out party i guess you can say. my dad likes to leave out the part where i can start 'courting'. it's a big party/ball where i wear a dress i wouldn't be able to breathe in, and everyone's there to celebrate that i'm a "lady".
