So I looked on the internet for religious services and found this reform temple near my house. I e-mailed asking about services for the upcoming holidays, and was told that they request a $250 donation to get "tickets" and thus attend services. What? 250 dollars for two services?! After I said I was a student they waived the donation thing, but

That does seem counterproductive... I mean I understand that the temple needs money, but making you pay to worship seems... well... flat out wrong to me.
