My advice is to take any random classes that seem remotely interesting to you in the next couple years, even if you don't know anything about it. You generally aren't forced to declare a major until after 2 years. I was all surprised when they told us here to not worry about requirements for now and just take classes that seem interesting. It's all about considering options (and making sure you have all of them) at this point.

they actually told you that?? it's much more tracked here... one thing i liked about the school was that it was more flexible, but so far i have yet to see that.

i'm interested in painting, philosophy, ethics/biomedical ethics, calculus, and literature in general. those are the types of classes i always look at besides fun art ones and extremely random things i found in the course book like a class on game theory. i was lucky enough to get into general biology which sounds like it will be a good class, and it's one that medical illustration students take so it's potentially not useless... my advisor/drawing teacher thinks i'm going to start failing because i'm trying to do too much.
