I've really enjoyed this event the past 2 years. I noticed on the site that there is a $100 gold ticket; however there is no explanation as to the difference with regular tickets. Are there special benefits? Front of line privileges? Or perhaps just a tax deductible portion as a supporter?

Best wishes for a successful event.

Excellent. Great to hear from you.
the Gold ticket is about being a sponsor. Our goal is to save money from gold tickets to be able to rent space in advance in the future (rather than giving the location a cut, or spending our own money...)

So $75 of each gold ticket will be held for next year's carnival.

Hello! Thanks for the response. I totally get why you want to raise money to sustain the event going forward (and great idea to do so). What I still don't get though is the benefit for the purchaser of the sponsor-level ticket. If it's pure philanthropy, even that is a benefit that could be articulated better ("your additional support helps us brings this event back next year and reach even more people...etc.")

I think the challenge, though, is that if the intended event audience is people who are NEW to the community, they do not (yet) have a vested interest in being a sponsor or keeping the event going. So with the gold tickets, you may want to consider offering something more tangible.

Cheers
