How can you tell if someone wants to be with you because they really care for you or if they want a boyfriend and you're a good, single guy who won't abuse them? Now I'm conflicted again.

I tend to agree with this. But I have little to no actual dating experience so...take that for what it's worth. I'd go with just having fun for a little bit and see how it goes.

I have become super analytical when it comes to making big decisions, so I think I would wonder any time this kind of thing came up. I don't think I would ever just be like, oh yes, yay, definitely!

Also, this comes from someone who gets overwhelmed with the number of choices when visiting a new restaurant.

I am writing a lot more in my paper journal to try and decide what I am gonna do. (I keep waffling, typical of me lately when making any decision. I am a lot more wary after making big mistakes in the past couple years.)
