I'm putting Bowman ahead of my boyfriend, and I'm not sure if I am making the right decision. It's never been a question when choosing between Bowman and anything before, but since I've been home everything has been different. Holding onto scraps doesn't necessarily have to mean desperately holding onto the greater whole that those scraps were once a part of, or came to represent.

Think of them as tiny icons of things that had to change in order for your life to move forward- a souvenir of your trip through a particular time in your life.

I forgot who told me that after five years of my clinging to a small antique toy pistol that was rapidly falling apart given to me by my grandfather shortly before he passed away... but it sounds about right.
