"Friends"... That might not exactly be the most apt of terms, but you could say we are at least acquainted. [more like they had fought before, with Keine being on the defeated. But details, details~]

But that isn't the reason for my awareness of your existence; I am a historian, a recorder of history. It is only natural that I have some form of information on the notable figures of Gensokyo. [she says this, without any noticeable pride. Only in a matter-of-factly fashion]

(Thankfully, Chen doesn't worry about details; "acquainted" is good enough for her.)

(There is one detail that catches her ear, though.) It's good to know I'm written in Gensokyo's history; it's a tough job protecting villages, especially from Reimu or the black-white witch.

(Oh, they have plenty of opportunities to avoid conflict, but nooooooooooooo. They just HAVE to police all of Gensokyo, flying through the skies like bancho guarding their turf. This is the sort of thing that starts rebellions.)

Have either of them shown up here? They like to solve incidents, so maybe they can figure this one out?

(Of course, if all weather control issues and such major disasters could be resolved by flying everywhere and shooting everything, then those two could solve anything.)

Ah, at least the shrine maiden can trusted; lady Yukari tells me that much. I hear the Scarlet Devil Mansion often has problems with the other one.

I suppose that's to be expected, with Marisa being a kleptomaniac... [ So many things in the Mansion, and yet so little security. Yes Meiling, you are terrible security... because you sleep on the job so often... ]

And it seems she is close friends with their librarian now.
