I just spent twenty minutes raking hoof divots out of a sandy arena. I didn't have to do it, but I did it anyway. And didn't mind a bit

Spring is teasing around the edges... sap is rising in the trees, and the critters get frisky.

And it was breezy, not hot, not cold, and that also makes them full of energy and willing to get a little crazy.

I am sooo happy to hear that Legs is still full of piss and vinegar!!

I've ridden her at the walk, trot and the lope.

I wouldn't ride her at a full gallop.

Now, I rode Ryk (an off the track arab) at full racehorse gallop, because he was smooth as glass. He ran so fast, I couldn't see; my eyes were tearing even behind my glasses. I still dream about riding that horse.

As for Legs, she can be explosive and rough. She had a rough life. She thinks that's how things need to be.

And with it being spring, be doubly careful with her.
