It started out a little messed up due to the time change. I woke up really early, so I had lots of time to kill until we were meeting for the bike ride. Packed a lunch, took Belle for a walk, ate breakfast, got ready...We were going to ride 60 miles from FC to Wellington and back to see the buffalo

the funny part was that he had not yet realized because of shock what had been broken or what....when he heard Al talking to 911 and he said, "yeah, his bone is sticking out of this finger...." that's when Paul was like, "WHAT!? oh FUCK!" it was pretty hilarious. He was surprisingly in good spirits even dealing with all the pain...we just kept talking to him, trying to take his mind off the pain and asking him questions about how old he was, what his name was, how many fingers are we holding up, etc.
and then as soon as we got out of the hospital, he said, "so what are we doing now?" Didn't even want to go home and rest. So we ended up watching a couple football games.
I haven't talked to him today to see how he's doing and he's not online or answering emails....so the pain may have hit him today. We'll see how it goes.
