Religion and War?

When the jihad waged their holy war onto America I thought about those words, “Holy War.” I couldn’t think of a better oxymoronic phrase. I’m now disturbed by what my friends say; that our country is leading a righteous and blessed war in Iraq. Is that how Bin Ladin convinced his followers to become terrorists? Turned their faith into something evil? Used their love of God as fuel to commit suicide acts of mass destruction? I see this war & Christianity being put in the same package and then in red white & blue wrapping paper. Isn’t the basis of Christianity (or all religions for that matter) against war? Does this bother anyone else but me? Doesn't it smack of what they did?
