It's January 19th, and almost 70 degrees here in Denver. I would like to think this is due to global warming, but I nearly froze to death just two days ago riding my bike home from my girlfriend's work. I finally started sorting the numerous introduced bills. As I sort threw and read the bill titles I’ll make sure to watch for ones I find interesting and let you all know. And thus ends week one, and to think it was only a three day week. Here are the bill highlights according to The Rocky Mountain News. The list however seems a bit short, being they introduced aproximitly 100 bills the first day, and are up to about two hundred after friday. So don't let the 10 item list fool you, its gonna be a busy next few months

I found this great read on Slashdot. It talks about people who gave up on the internet due to viruses, spam, spyware and what not. I guess its still a small minority doing this, but none the less I found it ridiculous. People assume computer should always work right, when I tell them their hard drive crashed cause of a virus they seem shocked. But ( Read more... )

Its actually gonna be day three since I’m posting this at 1:30 am. Today Governor Owens presented the state of the state speech. I was rather unimpressed. I scanned threw the text, and concluded it had no real meat to it. However I suggest you read the text (which can be found here). Cause you can’t complain about it, if you didn’t read it.

Today marks the beginning of Colorado state’s 2005 legislative session. Surprisingly session started only 45 minutes late, even with the snow storm (Denver was real bad, I head it got worse the more south you went). Rocky Mountain News reports “SCFD owes $700,000". I was against continuing this tax mainly because I didn’t like the way money was being distributed. Apparently, it is a valid concern cause now your tax money might end up going to election/lobbying costs. Hope everyone supports this because we are all gonna be paying for it.
