What do you mean no one reads the text anyways? I always read the text...otherwise how do I know what i'm looking at?!

I can't believe you missed the giant buddha! Everyone I know who's been there says it's great!

It's there a temple near down with the laughing buddha? And the lying down buddha? Or am I confusing Japan with Thailand?

Anyways thanks for the update...always great to hear from you...Hope you're doing well!

I so so many temples in Taiwan and fair few here too.
The buddahs will be great to see one day. But my days in 日本 are only numbered on this trip. Ill be back, without much doubt and I'm always making new friends who want to go to such places. For now i am perusing the more obscure. Its not so easy, but its great fun.

It's decor.

I love the mini cupid statue! Very cute.

I demand photos of temples!

Y u want photos of temples?
I think temples are temples and need not have pictures plastered everywhere abouts them.
Ill get a pici of a little one on the way to my work. its not an amazing temple, but it shows they are everywhere and all special in their own right.

Coolest part of the Kanji is that they could be telling us all to "f*ck off" and we'd never know. Glad to see you're doing as the locals do, and having a great time.

See you ... wow, in like 2 wks! Rock out until then mate.

Karaoke! sanfy January 8 2008, 13:59:57 UTC
Lol - catching up with my e-mails and stuff hehe...

The Karaoke in a small room reminds me of a dodgy place I once went to in Melbourne. The steamy big windows with the set of greasy paw-prints kinda implied that more than karaoke went on in that room haha!

Being die-hards, we managed to overlook that minor detail and soldiered on like the troopers we were...
