As of this writing we are half-way through with the whole contract process. All that's left is the seller's signature, and then the next few weeks will be very busy dealing with banks and loan offices and sending letters etc etc etc -- buying a house is fucking arduous. But the end result is absolutely worth it. Getting the whole sale thing

The furniture is just so atrocious. I couldn't even begin to tell you of this woman's obsession with mirrors. It's not really pictured but as soon as you walk in the wall in front of you is one giant mirror. While that's fine, it clashes with the other 6,000 mirrors all around the house. I think the woman was a bit of a narcissist.

It really is a diamond in the rough that is the horrible housing market. They say it's a buyer's market right now but finally after about 2 years or so, sellers and buyers have been starting to converge on the proper price of the house. I can't even begin to tell you of the other houses we came across. Some were okay, but most were absolute shitholes. Most houses manipulated the angle of the camera to not include bad things like holes in the wall or whatever, but this house really didn't have anything that needed to be covered up. It's a creampuff.

Wait until I show the rest of the pictures. This woman had a bizarre obsession with glass and mirrors.

I'd post now but she hasn't signed her half of the contract yet (3 day weekend, I assume her lawyer will get back to us either today or tomorrow).
