[ Peering down at the paper, well after the bell has gone off. ] --is that a witch? [ Maybe he shouldn't have asked, given his experience with the supernatural, but hey. At least he's talked to her before and she seemed clueless harmless. ]

(ooc: I don't even know if they'd even be in similar classes. /derp )

Heh. I wouldn't know, but it seems pretty distracting. [ Touma lifts up his bag from the floor and slings the strap over a shoulder. ] Anything can be when you really get into it.

Are they any things that you are very enthralled in, Touma? [[she's up and ready to go!]] As in, hobbies and such?

[ You mean the hobbies he doesn't remember? Suuuure. ] Um, not really. I don't mind the homework they give -- especially the math and science. It's easy stuff, and it kills time.

So you somewhat enjoy studying? Well, I could see how that is fun for people! I actually do enjoy the books and papers they give us to read.

What they teach here is way easier than what I used to study at home, so it's not really that I enjoy it, but it's just not worth putting in the energy to complain.

Oh, that makes sense, then...

The stuff they give us is a little difficult. You must be very smart! What kinds of things did you study at home?

[ While he has knowledge in his head, he doesn't have the memories of how he learned that. But given the sort of work he was given to complete over summer vacation, he can guess that he wasn't such a great student. Why else would he be intimately familiar with terms such as "extra study time" and "detention"? ]

[ Scratching his head. ] I didn't do so hot back home, actually. It just has to do with the fact that our education in Academy City is leagues ahead of what is being taught here.

Leagues ahead? I think I understand.

But, you... really do not have any other hobbies?

so_misfortunate October 14 2011, 18:58:20 UTC
Um... nope? [ Not unless one counts meeting and fighting strange people. ]

That sounds like you would get bored often, then.

That's one way to look at it. On the other hand, it means I'm not busy and can react whenever something happens without needing to drop anything. There's no conflict that way. [ But no, in all honesty, he just lives a dull life here, without any knowledge of hobbies he might have had at home short of reading comics. ]

Oh, that does sound like a much better way to look at it! Well played, Touma! [[she smiles brightly, happy that he thinks about it in more optimistic terms.]]

That is a very fluid way to live.

Of course it is. [ It's an easy cover for a lack of actual interest. But maybe finding something besides homework wouldn't be so bad...

No. He has that resistance thing to account for. Who knows when they'll need him? ] Are you heading home, Nia?

Oh, yes. I suppose I should not idle about... I need to work on the homework we were given!

Right. The less we trouble the teachers, the more time we have to worry about other stuff.

And, like I said, most of this stuff is easy, so if you ever need any help let me know. [ Since tutoring, too, could be a good time killer and the girl was nice, if a bit... well, he can't say "off" but there's something about her that stands out. (No, he doesn't mean her appearance. If you've seen his friends, he's kind of used to this sort of stuff.) ]
