hi. i got the link from shutupbetsy. it's kinda hard to tell, but is the gloss/blood mixture as thick as it appears? i like that effect, unless it's just my contacts (they are kinda crudded up right now i think). is "gessoed masonite" a ceramic material? it sounds like it. i guess that would explain the ability to pool the ink as such.
The acrylic gloss medium is an extender, a gloss, and a seal protector for the menstrual medium. Gessoed masonite is a gypsum board:
gesso
\Ges"so\, n. [It., chalk, plaster.] 1. Plaster of Paris, or gypsum, esp. as prepared for use in painting, or in making bas-reliefs and the like; by extension, a plasterlike or pasty material spread upon a surface to fit it for painting or gilding, or a surface so prepared. 2. A work of art done in gesso. [Obs.]
I found you through shutupbetsy and I wanted to let you know I am linking you on my site. (http://www.freakrights.com) I think your message is amazingly positive and thank you for it.
The painting itself is lovely...reminds me of toile. And that's why it looks like a stool or seat cushion. But what I really love is the PHOTO of the painting, the shadows, how it appears to floating in air, the contrast of black and white.
Yes, back to food. It looks like a white chocolate coated cookie. Maybe I need to go to lunch!

It is somewhat complex and made me think of a William Morris print; very nice.
