I love the colors and lines of this one. It struck me as really strange, though, that you have all of those groups of four lines together ... I did something very similar in a painting that I didn't put up the other day. Could it be a creative moon connection? :)
christ this is disgustin! are you one of those weird fucking feminists who worship The Cunt Book and buy reusable pads? you're fucking sick, chickie. find yourself a good psychiatrist.

wow... I've been looking through your paintings and the ensuing comments... I'm amazed with how you take such blatant harsh insults and actually *thank* them for the terrible comments. Personally, I'm still undecided whether or not I like your paintings. I guess it's just a morbid fascination with the fact that you use blood in your pieces. But regardless, I believe that no one should criticize so harshly, directly, and non-constructively. Please, never lose such grace and dignity. That truly is beautiful.
The idea came from questioning why woman's menstrual blood is kept invisible and shameful while blood spilled from brutal violence is blatently visible, exposed for commercial profit, and used for sensationalism in this society. Aside from woman's menstrual blood being natural and non-violent, to some women, it 's beautiful. The paintings were inspired by my respect and awe for bleeding every month in cycle with the moon's phases - for having what's essentially a lunar-tuned body clock.

How do your tint the blood?

A large amount of acrylic gloss medium added to the blood gives it a gloss and shine that preserves its color.
