This dynamic pair seem quite inseparable to me. The painting and it's twin remind me of the Alchemical Marriage, which, in turn, represents the Creative process ( ... )

Thanks, that’s a very thoughtful analysis / synthesis of my two paintings, “The Code” and “The Decoder.” Your references to alchemy and Noe Venable’s song, “Juniper,” are extremely flattering to the coupled paintings and greatly appreciated. But what holds the relationship between these two paintings together for you is fascinating. I especially like your interpretation of the colors and the white space. I’m also glad to know that they caused so much curiosity. You’ve made me think more about their inspiration, which only future paintings may possibly define.

Thank you again.

This is an objective statement from someone more tolerant than average of things done in bad taste: this is truly sick. Everyone who comments that this stuff is "beautiful" or says anything remotely positive has problems. SERIOUS problems. If I had an online journal, I would sign my name because I find nothing hateful about my statements. It's simply the truth: this is disgusting, weird shit.

Ironically, the Artist has established her name and you have not. There is nothing preventing you from signing your name here.

i've been looking at your site for a while now, and everytime you post a new painting, well, you're very talented. There's this weird combination of disgust and beauty, and I can't say I dont like your art; something draws me to it. Behind the fact that while you're making a very valid statement here, its very hard for me to get over the fact that you're using your period as art, or describe the same hell that i go though (or skip every other month) as beautiful.

Yes, sometimes I call these pain-tings, as pain comes with my cycles too. I appreciate your comment. Thanks.

I imagine you're growing tired of the "Oh my god, is she kidding?" post since I've seen so many of them on your lj, but here goes. :) If you weren't meant to paint with menstrual blood (by divine decree, etc) the canvases would have burst in to flames by now, so it's probably okay to say I like the work. The work is good enough to support the choice of medium, and I really like the texture on "The Decoder."

Thanks for your compliment and dropping by. Yeah, the canvasses are impervious. It's the remarks that are bursting into flames.
