Pretty weird premise, but that was incredibly cute! :D Really loved the stuff about "I just copyrighted my best friend"... Oh, and the boys getting indignant at being given female seiyuu, that's classic. I know it's total crack, but it still manages to be believable somehow!

However, because I'm a horrible nitpicker: Jenrya's voice actress is Yamaguchi Mayumi and "Shiuchon" is the closest Japanese approximation of Shaochung... They didn't detract from the overall awesome, but I feel compelled to point these things out. D: Sorry.

Anyway, decent Digimon genfic sometimes gets hard to find, and good Tamers genfic is even rarer, so props to you! This one's definitely going in my memories. :D

Thanks for the review/mem! Well, wouldn't you be indignant if you were played by a boy? ;P Heh, I wasn't intending to write it as crack, so it's good to hear it was believable.

I've always seen "Shuichon" as the Japanese form of Shaochung, you're honestly the only person I've ever seen to use Shiuchon. :/ But thanks for the correction on Yamaguchi, I don't know how I managed to think it was Hamaguchi all this time. XD

This is where I put my pedantic hat on, forgive me DX blitzente October 10 2007, 06:54:46 UTC
"Shuichon" is a common spelling around fandom - I like to blame the WPP fansubs, but it's probably just because Shaochung is a weird name and it's hard to tell if you've spelled it right. ^^'

But! Let me pull out a couple of random screencaps here: this is from episode 5 subbed and this is from episode 37 unsubbed, not that it makes a huge difference.

What's rectangled in red is Jenrya's little sister's name - you can tell because they've got the same character in front of their names and it's spelled シウチョン because for some reason the character names are all in katakana. Look up シウチョン on Wikipedia or wherever, and you get "shi-u-cho-n". Actually, you might get "si-u-tyo-n" or even "shi-u-chi-(yo)-n", but they're basically the same. "Shuichon" would be シュイチョン, which is just a little bit different. And seeing as these caps are both from episode voice credits, they're probably right.

...I did say it was pedantic D; But like I said, "Shuichon" isn't one of those story-killing typos. Mostly I just like an excuse to break out screencaps ( ... )

What would happen to that hat if I scribbled on it? spiralunbound October 10 2007, 07:31:13 UTC
Interesting! And screencaps rawk. :D

Still gonna go with Shuichon forever and ever though, if only because I figure that if I used "Shiuchon" I'd have half the fandom (wait, doesn't that equal to about two people?) jumping on my back telling me I've spelt it wrong. ;) Though I do tend to use Shaochung if the context calls for it, like if someone Chinese is talking to her or something. Same for Jen - in a fic where he was writing Ruki from Hong Kong, he signed off with "Jian" before correcting himself (yes, my Jen has girly writing).

(lol) Awesome from beginning to end!

I listened to my Digimon Tamers Christmas CD that has Santamon o Sagase on it at the same time as I read their speaking parts; pretty neat! XD

This is really good. I love the transition between scared for fame to being into fame. Ahahah. I love this. I love the mention of Santamon here. It's so natural. The ending was brilliant as well.
There's actually more to say, but I can't think of anything right now. *head desks*
