Dear neglected journal,

I'm pregnant!  Woo!  Suffice to say it has been a catalyst for a few major life changes.  Here are some random observations:

1.  On the element of surprise
I won't say it what was on my schedule for 2008, it's not an unwelcome development, either.  In fact, once I got over the initial "Oh my!", I was actually quite excited.

yeah, my parents have actually been really great about everything. mostly it's the extended relations who have no tact whatsoever.
