I had thought this would be purgatory. But it appears I have stumbled into something that is equally fabled and otherworldly. The voices here…they’re so strange to me. They aren’t screaming, not now at least. Whether that is a constant waits to be seen

Ah...are you speaking from personal experience or is there some particular aura everyone is supposed to expect from purgatory that I'm just failing to remember?

Well, it is what I had thought purgatory might be like, in some way. But more and more I'm finding that assumption to be terribly inaccurate.

I remember, but that is beside the point.

As for punishment...well that is a matter of opinion. This place calls for more investigation. It's becoming clear that this is not quite as simple as I had originally thought.

You're probably right. I haven't been here long but so far it hasn't been...great. Not burning hellfire, but not great.

So what is it about this place that makes you think it could be purgatory? I've never been quite clear on what purgatory would look like, honestly.

In all honesty, the only reason I thought that at first was because it was the first place I've been to outside the world of the living. As I said, though, more and more I'm thinking I was wrong.
