And no, I'm not talking about erectile dysfunction. I'm talking about the Encyclopedia Dramattica. I really don't get this thing and why people think it is so funny. It's meant to be hateful. People like to feel superior to others, so they mock anybody they find to mock. Yes some of them have well earned their mocking with their stupid and hypocritical actions, but the people who post the articles are petty, small-minded trolls who build themselves up by tearing others down.

Anybody who tells you it's just fun, and it's not meant to hurt anybody, or be hateful, is self-deluded.

That's what I thought, too. What is wrong with people like that? They seriously need to get a hobby and some kind of life. Maybe they can get a job working at McDonald's, working for a manager who never finished high school, and take a step up in the world. Oops, I'm sounding like one of them now.

Although I think there's a big difference between complaining about somebody who annoys you in private and making public encyclopedia articles for everybody to laugh at... I've said many an unflattering thing about certain idiots, but that doesn't mean I feel the need to drag them down in public.

Sorry, but no. If it were just some random furry, I'd say yes, but this is my personal character. However, if you want one, you can find Keekers on FA and she'll make you one for super cheap! I think they are $5. Might be $10, but I really think they are only $5. :)

Because for a lot of people, " *insert hateful and hurtful remark*, lol just kidding" is the height of comedy and is supposed to not be taken seriously.

Of course, they hurt anyway.

It's a little of column A, a little of column B. I do find some of the things hilarious - particularly the bits where somebody has a bloated ego, only to have their ass handed to them. The stories associated with this article for example, make me lol. The insect battle is legendary on ConceptArt and I wouldn't have known about it without this article, because I don't hang around there often enough. If you go to a site like CA with actual professional artists, and pretend you are god's gift even though you have crappy anatomy skills and no firm grasp of even the basics of composition, you deserve to get your ass handed to you, IMO. The best parts of that story are on the CA forums, of course, not ED, but ED links to it to make it easy to find.

The other thing I find entertaining is the meme category, where I can find out way more than I ever wanted to know about the latest catchphrases that I might see spouted randomly or perhaps have never even heard of ( ... )
