Thank you all for the welcomes! The reminder that London is freezing bring relativity back to my dismay at the cold of Kirkland after the somewhat warmer Santa Cruz. But right now, in the midst of the long chain of rainy days, the sun is shining and there is blue sky with puffy clouds. Not too bad, really.

Thanks for the gentle nudge - I have been thinking it's time, but have found it hard to take the plunge. I've been reading various others, getting a sense of the diverse approaches people take to putting themselves out in this venue. Probably thinking too much - I need to just take the plunge. OK, I will gather my thoughts and begin!
