Feelin' the need to update

cchopps description of the cruise sums it up really well. Though for me, while parasailing was a spiritual experience, just being on the water effected me more. I love looking out and seeing the earth curve. Just watching the waves and hearing the sound made me happy. Then there were the nights when the sun just melted into the sea. seriously? i have seen it in the stores and nearly bought it a few times, but just was not sure it would be as good as Handmaid's Tale...I have read other works by her, but they never come close...

SO you have convinced me...I shall grab a copy!

When it comes to apocalyptic dystopia this book quickly moved to the top of my list. It's frightening and fascinating all at once. There are so many levels to this that I'm seriously thinking I may have to focus just on this one book for my thesis. I'll bring in other of Atwood's work as well but "Oryx and Crake" will take center stage. I have to agree that her other novels really didn't strike me like "The Handmaid's Tale". This one, though...wow! I think you'll enjoy it a lot. You'll have to tell me what you think.
