I don't know if all of you have heard about Prop 8, if you're LDS and in CA you have, and you've had firesides and have been asked to make a lot of contributions.

Basically it comes down to this if it doesn't pass the rest of you in this country are royally screwed and you don't even get a say in it.I'm spending most of my free time volunteering ( Read more... )

I'm a bit confused now. Why do we need to prepare for persecution?

There's an equivalent Prop 102 on the ballot in AZ this year.

Oh, phew.. I *can* do something. Too bad Arizona doesn't hold as much sway with the rest of the country as California.

My mother in law feels that if the proposition does not pass, it will mean the downfall of the Catholic and Mormon churches. She is horrified.

If it passes, I do not think that it will have anywhere near as much impact as you have been lead to believe.
